Vancouver Canucks have decided to make the playoffs this year. We are only 161 points out of the "Peloton" of GM's who all have a decent shot at making the post season. We have been closing in for a few weeks now and with already a 45 point night, we expect to wake up on the other side of 150 points to go to our "goal" of being in the mix. That would be a nice new years day achievement, but it will be hard to do with one week of play. Everyone healthy soon and then it shouldn't be an issue to rise up a bit.

Heading in to the Holiday break, pretty happy with the team. We looked to be in a rough spot to start the year. Injuries decimated us. But as the yesr has progressed we have made a decent run and were first In the division for a bit. Still some work to do, moves to be made. But all in all no complaints.

Happy Holidays everyone. Thanks to @Nail, @Monty And @Master Mind for all you guys do!

I allready  wish all fellow GM´s  a Mrerry X-Mas and some nice Days with your Families.

I ll be back for possibly Trade Talks after the Holidays or New Year ..... the Hawks are still in the range for a Playoff Spot.

So its still not clear if the Hawks are Sellers or Buyers at the Deadline.

Now we are excited for the WJC with 5 Hawks Prospects i nthe Tournament

Our first 6 picks in this years draft were all invited to their countries pre-tourney selection camps;

Elias Petterson

Jonah Gadjovich

Dylan Samberg

Olle Eriksson Ek

Jonas Ronbjerg

Jakub Galvas

It is our understanding Eriksson Ek & Galvas may have not made their teams final rosters?

Well hot dang, all 6 draftee's made it!

That gives us 7 for the tourney. Although Erikkson Ek may not play as third goalie. Does give him an edge on starting next year? Galvas played a decent game for the Czechs. He's pretty small for a D. But handles the puck great & competes.  He was a plus one in his first game. Also had a scoring adjustment where he was added as the 2knd assist on what turned out to be the game winning goal.

Great job to our scouting team!

We would like to congratulate the following prospects within our system for getting WJC invites. We envision the majority of players listed to make their respective teams, which will make for a great holiday tradition for the Flames organization. As we currently sit in the top 10 of the league, we look to have a bright future with 9 players partaking in camps.

It's the most wonderful time of the year.

All players have made their respective teams - very happy with how the future is looking after taking over the reigns of the organization. We've had a very quick turn around in regards to prospect depth and talent.

A bit late to the party, but we would like to congratulate our 6 prospects on being named to their countries rosters for the World Junior Championships!!

RUS - Dmitri Sokolov

CAN - Victor Mete

SWE - Oskar Steen

SWE - Jesper Boqvist

USA - Casey Mittelstadt

Also an HM to our 4th round pick Mario Ferraro on being one of the last cuts for Team Canada!

And best of luck to Dylan Sikura as he is currently representing Canada at the Spengler Cup at this time too!

Kings would like to congratulate David Kampf on his first call-up to the NHL. Unfortunately, we don't have room for him!

As such, Kings are open to offers on F Michael Haley. Great for teams needing a boost to make the playoffs, but who have limited cap space. With 114 fantasy points for only a $700K salary, he is one of the better bargain producers in the league.
