Primal Optimist
Vancouver will rest Fisher, Kronwall and Condon tonight in an otherwise no retreat no surrender matchup against the Ducks of Anaheim. Vancouver is looking to continue to bridge the gap between themselves and the collection of teams vying for a wild card spot! That gap is now down to 129 points to catch the Devils! Catching New Jersey would signify joining the ranks of those playoff spot contenders, and is our first goal of three for the remainder of the season. We won't get there tonight but we can continue to chip away at it, setting ourselves up for a wonderful February!
Canuck Surfer
Hey, I watched some WJC's today! Not quite as good a game from Pettersson as I hoped? Jakub Galvas was an assist on the game winner in round one. Primary assist on the tying goal today. Setting up a decent upset for the Czech's. Great little PMD! Bellows (who has him?) was the guy who scored two goals today. But Dylan Samberg was among the best players on the ice. Big hits, an assist, jumping into the play, blocked shots... Pumped with him as a pick!
Canuck Surfer
FWIW, Samorukov, don't know who has him either (?), looked very good for the Russians...

D-Money
/\ To be fair, the go-to move in a fight is to grab your opponent's collar with your off-hand. It's not Kadri's fault that Jumbo Joe has a giant rat's nest covering it.
