So if Vegas hasn't placed anyone on waivers, their plan is to......ice:

10 Forwards (on NHL contracts) --- 2 to IR

11 Defensemen

2 Goalies

Sounds smart.... Fourth line for Sbisa!

3 goalies now because they've picked up Subban.  They still have Leipsic as well as Nosek who are also waiver eligible.

How is Vegas going to come down to 23 players?

Zolnierczyk was on a PTO with the Panthers.  Predators don't have him under contract.

must have a trade in the works.

so if this is it for today, then Arch must not be getting an NHL deal?

I see no issue having him play on his AHL contract and then signing him after a bit when we see how things go the first few games.

my feelings too. He had a good camp, and he's earned that much for sure, but not enough to displace Dorsett imo.

more than a few trades.  They have more than 23 healthy waiver eligible players on their roster.  Unless a few are injured.

Yup. Anyone looking for a cheap backup today can probably get Pickard for a 6th round pick.

not a fan of Vegas to begin with, when you have a chance to select guys like Dumba for example and make side deals instead to add picks when you already get to start this last draft in a top position....I mean grab the good young guys, surround with vets like Neal, Perron, Fleury for sure but looking at the roster now I presume trades are in the works....

I agree to a point but I think they realize that no matter what they do it is going to take 8 - 10 years to ice a competitive team so I can understand why they would rather have the picks.
