Im a well seasoned hockey fan that knows its a business but you also need to be able to play smart hockey in this nhl of today..so far i like how green handles himself...this is not an easy league to coach in ...so many player so many good teams...the wins will come in who knows how to handle the new rules of slashing and holding etc.so special teams and penalty kill will be the major difference..in order to beat a team like the oilers you will need team toughness with discipline...captialize on the chances and play smart hockey agains connor...its not just the skill its the executing the team plan.fighting will never go away but as green knows from coaching who there is the intimidating factor along with the game within the game.keep macdavid to the outside and play tight defence on his line...the season is long and who knows what the team will look like in few months.

I doubt the league has the balls to stand firm on these changes.

But this did happen in the season after the last lockout.

And this, allowing skilled players to play unimpeded, not coincidentally is when the Sedins started their rise to stardom.

It lasted about 3/4 of a season.  Expect something similar.

The league should be looking into making new stars instead of being known as the National Interference League.

The regular season is all about selling tickets so game management is more evident. Losing teams will suddenly get way more PPs near the end of a game they are losing.

The playoffs are when real hockey starts getting played, the game is then for men, the regular season, that's for the boys.
