MDZ sure stepped in it with his Fortnite comments.

I find it hilarious that a 28-year-old has now become the “get off my lawn” old man of our young roster.

Twitter has been somewhat unkind to MDZ (although pretty funny). Many people suggesting video games are a much lesser vice than harassing porn stars (poor MDZ’s never gonna live that one down). Or that the Canucks should just buy a copy of Activision’s “DJ Hero” to shut Del Zotto up.

Personally, I’d much rather see the kids playing Fortnite and hanging out together in their rooms instead of going out and hitting the Roxy. Or the old days, when their off hours might be spent on booze, blow, and strippers.

Yeah leave that for us regular folk.

Like most things of this nature, I firmly believe any 'issues' should be dealt with at the individual level. Not blanket bans.

If 'you' and a few guys on the team can play Fortnite until a reasonable hour, get a good night's sleep and be up and ready to practice/play the next day, I have no idea why that would be an issue. And as you say, it's a hell of a lot less worse than being out boozing, blowing and chasing strippers.

If 'you' and a few guys are up until 5am playing Fortnite and it's affecting your ability to play/practice (work)...well, then we need to have a talk.

Mystery solved.

I wonder how long Del Zotto is going to be a healthy scratch for.

Could be a long season - I think Green hopes Hutton and Pouliot play well enough that he doesn't have to pull them out.  MDZ will certainly not come back next season while Pouliot and Hutton could if they continue to improve.

Until there is an injury (God I hope we stay healthy) or he's traded.  Maybe another team gets an injury, and they come calling for MDZ?  I wonder if JB could get us a second in the coming draft?

I'm quickly losing faith in Pouliot. We haven't had a dman that insists on passing to his teammates in a bad spot like he does on awhile. Great skater but I'm questioning his hockey IQ.

Green was talking today about his improved play.  His pre-game interview is in the GDT.

I agree that Pouliot's hockey Q is questionable.  However, I like his size.  He seems to have a large lower half, and is solid on his skates.  Plus, he's good at taking hits to free up pucks.  He might need a partner who can retrieve loose pucks?

Pretty sure the Pens are gonna need a D-man.

I could see Benning looking at a Pouliot or Del Zotto trade involving Sprong or Aston-Reese on the other side. We've been rumored to be interested in Sprong, but the chance to reunite Gaudette and Aston-Reese might be tempting.

Will watch his passing tonight. I tend to side with TG here. Pouliot seems improved this year. Not great. Better than last year, but easily replaced by any of our 4 LD Utica prospects.

Ya. He's also willing to drop the mitts if need be.

He is definitely a worthwhile D project for the fourth rounder we traded for him.

We only gave up a fourth to get Pouliot?  Okay, that was a friggin' steal.  He could certainly become a top four guy.

I think the Pouliot in Pitts ship sailed away a long time ago.  I would love it if Van could pick up Sprong, but I can't see DelZ anywhere near the value.  Don't know what Pitts is looking for these days.

Pouliot to the Pen's for more than we gave them would be good asset management
