So then Tyler Myers is tiny?

Oh you're being deliberately ingenuous here. Ehlers is a "small" player because he is light in weight compared to other players of the same approximate height. This is a factor which a lot of people choose to ignore when discussing the size of players like Ehlers, or Marner (6' 170 lbs), or Kane (5' 11" 177 lbs). Interesting though, no one suggests that a guy like Markus Granlund (6' 183 lbs) is small, whether in his physical size or in how he plays the game.

The above being said, an argument could be made that Myers is a bit light for his height. Chara (6' 7") is 250 lbs vs Myers (6' 8") at 229. Tryamkin is listed at 265 lbs at 6' 7".. Pedan is a mere 203lbs at 6' 4", so I would say that he is definitely underweight for his height, compared to some of other tall players in the NHL.

just that idiot Tony Gallagher and his "SSS" condemnation of Granlund / that trade.

but that is an aside from your point - just wanted to take the opportunity to take a shot at the crypt-keeper.

The word the genious threw out was “tiny”, not “small”, of which there is a difference. Also, that he is soft and plays soft.

Worth a listen for those who don't know about "SSS":

Ah Tony, where will be without you scratching your... head?

Same idiot that thought Hodgson should be getting 2nd line minutes - over Kesler - as a effin rookie.  Herpaderp.   #icetimecontroversy

This is CDC, right?  We are Canuck's fans, right?  Maybe some Canuck's fans choose to see the faults in other teams' players, while not seeing the faults in our own?  Again, this is a Canuck's fan board, right?

As for Ehlers, (IMHAO) giving a soft perimeter player long term big money can turn out to be a big mistake.  Ehlers will need to produce big points to compensate for his poor defensive play, or he hurts his team's chances of winning - like last night for example.

There you have it. Everyone can stop trying to make logical arguments because he's just going to keep covering his ears and not listen to reason because this is CDC.
