DownUndaCanuck Posted October 9, 2017 Share Posted October 9, 2017 As controversial as he was, Larscheid was a great "colour" commentator and I always felt he and John Shorthouse really complemented each other well. Shorty is one of the most accurate, stable play-by-play guys in the business and Larscheid was one of the most colourful, controversial, opinionated but also emotional colour commentators there was. The two had great banter during their time and when Larscheid was replaced, there was certainly a drop off in chemistry that is only now returning.
