Do we have the best 4th line in the league?

Whether you consider our '4th line' to be Gagner-Burmistrov-Vanek, or Granlund-Sutter-Dorsett, do we have the best 4th line in the league? Either of these lines could be considered a very decent 3rd line in the NHL. I must admit I haven't followed other teams as closely this year. However, to me this is one of the best 4th lines we've ever had.

I'm really liking the balance in our lines. In fact, the only weakness thus far has been the Sedin line -- Dank and Hank are a combined -6 and only have 7 points between them. I consider them our 2nd line now, behind the BHB line. If the Sedins can get going, we could be rolling 4 lines with constant threats.

We don't have a 4th line ;)

Every forward is playing between 13 to 17 minutes. Last game our lowest was Burmistrov at 13ish minutes. While the highest minute forward played just 3 and half more minutes.

Really liking how Green is deploying his guys right now. Every line is scoring goals.

Having 4 fairly well balanced lines is a double edged sword.  The plus side is that we have arguably the best 4th line in the league.  The down side is that we have arguably the worst 1st line in the league.  Interestingly, another team built in a similar fashion is Las Vegas, who have been doing quite well so far.  Boston also had a fairly similar model back in the day with no significant superstars (maybe Chara back in his prime), but a lot of guys who could do a good job.

Yes.

Our 4th line is probably one of the better match up lines in the NHL and probably and would be billed as a third line on most other teams. Sutter-Dorsett aren't exactly possession drivers but they are great defensively and good on the counter attack. So, if we need a line that can weather the storm, and create counter attack chances, this would be the line. Granlund is defensively responsible and he can move the puck well so adding him to this line basically makes it a perfect match up line.

If you exclude Horvat the icetime is even crazier. All forwards were between 13:30 and 15:52.

Bergeron and Krejci are played on separate lines, back in the day they had Horton, Lucic and others unless we are going way back...plus the rat Marchand...not a ton of star power after Bergeron but Krejci used to be a seventy plus point threat.

Vegas is the best comparison to our team right now, with Neal and Perron taking the roles of Boeser and Horvat.  Then a bunch of plugs that can add offense.

He must be using a stop watch and have a guy telling him when times up through an invisible ear piece.  Never, ever, do I remember a Canucks team run this way, even when we had other bad teams there was still a first and fourth line that got or didn't get the minutes.

I've heard this is the way hockey used to be played before the enforcer came in and skewed things in the late sixties....wonder if he's on to something, old is new again sort of thing, especially with Vegas somehow still getting wins.
