Guys, look at this. Friedman reporting that Vancouver may be in on Duchene. Juolevi listed...

Thanks for posting that.

In terms of the rumors, don't like any of them. Duchene is talented but (in terms of "winning" qualities) not worth two pieces let alone three pieces. Same with respect to Kane.

If you ask Canucks fans they say we have no goalie prospects we are crap we can't win I gotta go home it's my bath time....

Eddie Lack gave us Guillaume Brisebois

Corey Schiender gave us Bo Horvat

Roberto gave us Jacob

I'm just poking a dead horse for crap and giggles but I love seeing kids like Demko in our system because it was not even 10 years ago when we had

Raycroft

Sanford

Laberbera

Sabourin

Macintyre......

Excellent recycling, is what it is.

I'm on a Montreal msg forum and that city is ready to hunt down MB and burn him at the stake. It's not even funny. The fans there are WAY worse than I've ever seen fans of this team.
Galchenyuk is a serious whipping boy. He probably doesn't even know which way is up at this point. 1st line one day, demoted to the dog house the next... kid needs to get the heck out of there before he's destroyed. Would welcome him with open arms!

That Subban trade still makes my head shake. Plus it was so classless to do that a few weeks after PK donates 10 million to the city :picard:

Buy yah if we could steal Galchenyuk that would be awesome.

Duchene will be 27 in a month or two i think. He's got the tools obviously but age wise I don't see him fitting in here long term, and that's a lot to give up for a guy who's not going to see the end up a "rebuild"

RNH and Sam Reinhart were also mentioned. Hutton's been in talks.... I'd be all over Reinhart if that was doable. He's from West Van and still only 21.

Would consider something like...

Gagner, Baer & OJ

for, Duchene(cap almost evens out)

******Conditional 2019 2nd R***************

Pending performance. From 1 team to the other. If 1 pkg/player severely outperforms the counterpart(could go either way)

Why should we take on all the risk? Protect both GM's with such a notion. Fair & reasonable.

Now why would canucks need all that cap space?

Trading juolevi for duchene?! Please god no! Say it ain’t so!

Why would you not want as much cap space as possible.  Whether trade is coming or not.

also, I find it funny that some of the local media who like to call out all of JB and JW “mistakes” , had no idea why this happened.......

I find it hard to believe a rumor about the Canucks being willing to move any of our young players as realistic.  If we had a ton of depth then maybe. I could see a trade of one of our backup goalies for a pick more believable. Demo in and move a goalie to the Pen's.

Buffalo is still desperate to find a top 4 D

Rumors have been swirling around Reinhart.

Edler? Hutton? ... Tanev?????

I'd be very wary about moving Tanev but Edler would easily slide into their top 3. Even Hutton....

Are we really willing to move a Dman with Edler and Stecher out?

Probably not.

I'd totally be willing to trade someone on the limp for someone who's not ::D

Is there an update on Stetch? (other than "lower body")

edit: looks like he got sent home:

I think if Sam R was actually available Jim would do it, thats why he picked up all that D depth. Sure it would suck for a few weeks but long-term it would be the right move.

I see that trade as the real start of a big unraveling in Montreal. As good as Weber can be, he's 3 years older than Subban, and Subban is one of those players who can changethe whole pace of a game through sheer willpower.

I think Montreal will regret that trade for a LONG time!

Why not have the cap space?  Better to have the option than to not if all it takes is a paper move.
