McIlhargey the Lesser
I was looking through the Burrows thread and I realized that in my lifetime of watching the Canucks his 'Slaying the Dragon' goal is the one that is the most memorable for me; one that I can best recall in the most detail. It got me thinking about goals I remember distinctly or that for some reason really stick out for me. Some are big goals that took us to new heights and some were just interesting or wild. What are the goals you most remember from watching them as they happened? Post them here. Here are my top five in ascending order: 5. Mason Raymond's second goal of his first career hat trick: 4. Alex Burrows' short against The Hurricanes that turned around the 08-09 season: 3. Daniel's third goal of a hat trick, between the legs, against the Flames that helped Henrik win the Art Ross trophy: 2. Bieksa's game 5 OT goal against the Sharks to take us to the finals: And of course... 1. Alex Burrows slays the gosh-darn dragon!!!
Drive-By Body Pierce
I feel like Burrows shorty against Carolina to snap a record losing streak should be given more credit, but perhaps with a shoutout to Kesler for his battle down low in the defensive zone and bank of the boards to our beloved Burrows. For me..it put to rest a half-decade of bitterness towards the Flamin' Flamers, after Otto-Ogre got as dirty as Diego Maradona.("Hand of Gawd" became "foot of filth!") Soccer fans have NO idea what's important in this world!
canucksnhl
This one is easily the most memorable for me. It's been 13 years but I still remember it like it was two days ago.
Green Building
I think Courtnall's goal was pretty memorable too, and without it Bure's wouldn't have happened.
Green Building
That play happened back when teams under 0.500 could still make the playoffs. Anyone else remember that? It's madness to think that now.

TheHitman
There was one Naslund scored against the Red Wings to tie the game 3-3 and take it into OT a long time ago. The puck went into the refs skates and ended up on Naslunds blade and he sniped it. Not sure where footage of it is though.

Down by the River
I was 6 years old. My Dad was a teacher. When this happened, he jumped out of his seat and yelled "Are you f*cking kidding me?". This was the first time I had ever heard him swear. I don't think he swore in front of me for another 10 years. I'll never forget it, nor will I forget this goal.
goalie13
While most my favourites have been covered by others already, there's another that sticks out to me, only because I was there and it was kind of comical. It was the playoffs (I can't remember which year) against the Jets at the old Pacific Coliseum. Ronning put one the went over the net, hit the glass, hit Essensa in the back and went in. Except nobody saw it go in. There was this weird pause while people were looking up for the puck and it was already in the net. Good times!
