Hairy Kneel
Tough, smart, and a team first guy. Pretty cool to see. Hope he keeps that up and helps them win a round in the playoffs. I think they'll get in.

Jägermeister
He was a good defence man here last season. Problem was he sucked the first year and a bit, and after that people had been on the "Sbisa Sucks" bandwagon for too long to notice how much better he was playing. Him doing well comes as no real surprise.

The sheep in town could never get over his first bad season and his contract, which was more than fair for the last 2 seasons.
DownUndaCanuck
He always was a decent bottom pairing defenceman since his Anaheim days, fringe top-4 defenceman but he's really blossoming now. I always thought he'd be a late bloomer. Probably the best 3rd pairing defenceman in the NHL.
smithers joe
the fans do this a lot with players they grow a dislike for, over the years. bieksa had a bad year and fans wanted him gone. called him lots of names. they are doing it now with ericksson, and the sedins. Sbisa was pretty good last year, starting to earn his money. I really like our D this year though, we really got some guys who can skate and move the puck: Del Zotto, Stecher, Hutton, Pouliot. Gudbranson and Sbisa are pretty similar, but Gudbranson fights and is bigger. In short, I would definitely not mind Sbisa on our team but not really sad he is gone either, especially if it means giving a guy like Pouliot a chance or signing Del Zotto who has been much better for us than Sbisa was. Down by the River
Sbisa is just another victim of the fact that this team doesn't really have anyone the belongs in a top pairing role. Sbisa and Edler get hit the hardest because they are often asked to play roles way beyond their ability and then fans get pissy when they make mistakes. Would you be upset at a five year old for crashing their parents' car? No. You'd blame the parents for expecting their five year old to drive the car without making mistakes. Derp...
Sbisa would have fit Greens systems nicely. Good skater, physcial, can get in the rush. Despite trying to make him a defensive d man it's not really his thing, kinda like Del Zotto.

In the playoffs he had 19 points in 35 games overall. I remember a lot of reasons why we didn't win the cup - the main culprit being the Bruins allowed to get away with murder on the ice and the Canucks getting called equally for penalties. Also injuries, Luongo's goaltending, Tim Thomas' goaltending, and just mentally destroying the Canucks (IE Sedin standing there getting punched in the face by Marchand). Also Hamhuis who was our top shut down defenseman getting injured in Game 1 was also huge. Many believe that the Rome hit also gave the Bruins momentum. Ehrhoff wasn't great, but I don't remember him being a scapegoat. He turtled against McQuaid - which was probably the smart thing to do.
