coastal.view
great pitcher and helpful to see how hard he worked at his craft and that even as great as he became, he still needed to be sent back to the minors to rework his mechanics which he did, came back better, and then really became a student of the game and a dedicated pro he had so many outstanding years with the jays but i was happy for him when he moved on to the phillies he had earned the right to playoff performances which he would not get with the jays not sure if the jays have some sort of ring of honour. he certainly belongs there or perhaps his jersey retirement is a warranted and a better tribute hope you are in a better place doc.. you certainly enhanced this one best wishes for his family and all his surviving friends

Standing_Tall#37
I’d have to say that even though I remember watching the World Series wins by the Blue Jays, I fell in love with them when Halladay broke out(after his going back to the minors to learn the cutter... probably the best one of all time) In my life Roy Halladay made me love the Blue Jays as much as Pavel Bure made me fall in love with the Canucks in that 91-92 season. Harvey Specter
Such tragic news. Grew up watching Doc pitch incredibly, day in and day out. My condolences to the Halladay family The tributes around the league from prospects, current, and past players, and fans illustrate how much of an impact he has had on the baseball world. Gone way too young RIP Roy Halladay
shiznak
From 2001-2009, those were some tough years as a Jays fan, but whenever Halladay was starting on the mound. The Jays were the best team in the league on that day.

Halladay, a two-time Cy Young Award winner, died Tuesday when the tiny sport plane he was flying crashed into the Gulf of Mexico. The plane, an ICON A5, was made for entry-level pilots like him.
