He's going to get 7 million per year (minimum) on his re-up. Baertschi is all but gone. Same with Granny. That leaves Petterson and Dahlen to fill the voids for the time being. Brock is going to be our all star submittal this year. No question. One of the Sedin's?

Guaranteed we didn't run into a Vesey incident, but may hurt our depth in the long run. We might end up like the Oilers, relying on Boeser and Horvat to provide the bulk of our offense. cory40
Brock will get better as the year goes. He is still learning NHL hockey, his game is looking good already. I would not be surprised if he touches 40. That being said I am impressed with his consistency. Some scores are very streaky. I feel what makes Brock a step above is he can also set- up a goal. That gives him more time and space. If he gains a step he also has some pretty soft hands. Brock not just a shooter.

Doubtful...McDiva @ 13 mil and Drais at 10m is a situation we've already avoided with Bo's contract. The only similarity is Lucic/Loui at 6m but Lou I think stays effective longer..he's a far smarter player

Bo fan
So "lucky" to have the kid - he is a delight to watch It is impressive to watch his interviews - polite, humble and includes his team mates when speaking of his success
zzbottom
Way to go, Lesnar. Well earned. I love these rookie forwards this year. Brock, DeBrincat (huge fan), Barzal, Keller, Hischier, etc.

Goes on the post 2 straight 51 goal seasons and a 65 goal campaign last year and gets snubbed by team USA. Casually goes to Black hawks training camp and quietly makes the team putting up 19 points so far. Reminds me of Marty St Louis.

BowtieCanuck
The kid already has a more than one multi goal game in his career and we're not even halfway through the season. This kid is the teams next superstar and is probably going to be the player people think of when they think of the Canucks for the next several years. The best part too is that he's a humble kid who enjoys giving back to his community.

We don’t have to let anyone walk! 14 mil will be coming of the books just from the Sedin contracts, plus unfortunately DD’s salary will be coming off as well. Even if we re-sign the Sedins for a year, I can’t see it being for more than 2.5-3 mil each and that’s being generous IMO. So even with the re-signing the Sedins, we will still have probably around 15 mil or so in cap space to play with (other contacts will be gone by next year too I’m sure) And also why do you think Baertschi is all but gone?! Just because he got moved from the top line (for now) to see how Goldy does. Is this what you are basing your claim on?!

Sedin's off the books, Dorsett off the books, Vanek off the books, Edler probably off the books, Gagne most likely off the books all in the next few years, with nobody other than Baer and Boes looking at significant raises. We'll be fine.

The only salary that is not the most friendly is Eriksson’s, but that’s workable.

Indeed, especially if he keeps playing the way he's playing. If he keeps this up, he may actually be movable at some point!
