Prepare yourselves and careful what you wish for... The canucks could go 0 wins the entire season and would still pick 4th overall... No chance at Dahlin whatsoever unless he falls to 4th in rankings.

On a good note, there's a TONNE of good players available in the top 10 this draft. No reason we can't get an elite, RH'd, offensive D even at our customary 5 spot.

If we do happen to win the lotto by some miracle/sacrificing livestock though, all the better.

The hockey gods really want us to get Dahlin.

not a bad prize for our misery.  i dont think we are going to bottom out though.  expect the team to continue to win 0.3-0.35 games until guys return.

then will be back around 0.5-0.65 depending if we get hot.  if we face ana/la/sjs were in trouble.  weve been lucky facing more eastern/ central teams thus far.

Fallin' for Dahlin.

The team has showed that they are on the right track. Being competitive with a gutted lineup and ending up in a lottery spot is almost ideal for the rebuild.

Move some vets at the TDL again for depth pieces in the coming years and boom rebuild over. Competing for playoffs next season. With a shiny new 1C and *fingers crossed* a 1D.

if that is where the hockey gods want us.

so be it!

Have we heard any updates on Sutter and Guddy? I'd not be remotely shocked to not win a game until they're back.

THEN I could see us at 0.3-0.35 wins/game until Horvat and Tanev get back.

It's not going to be pretty.

If we didn't have Boeser, would anyone really pay hundreds of dollars to watch the games live with all the injuries that we have?

Not like we had any star player before all the injuries happened except maybe Horvat and our Rookie phenom Boeser. Now we are just gonna watch the Utica comets and Boeser leading the Canucks. On the bright side, maybe we have a chance to land Dahlin in the draft if all the stars align.

Yikes.  Good for Sautner though.

Next thing we know, they will be calling up Mackenze Stewart or Anton Cederholm for some strength on the blue.

At the rate the injuries are piling up, they might have to call Petersson on an emergency call-up if the SHL allows them to do so.

Just remember the 1999 draft was supposedly like that as well... other than the Sedins, it didn't work out that way!

Oh am sure they will...Gudbranson, Vanek, Gagner, Hutton and maybe even Tanev at this point.

even if all of those things happen, Benning might get drugged by Bettman before he goes to the podium and go off-board and pick Veleno instead haha
