RUPERTKBD
So Strome....Stephen Harper's support of Trump leaving the Iran deal can't be a good thing for Scheer, I don't think. Trudeau is almost certainly going to seize on this opportunity to paint the current PCs with the same boring shade of white that Harper favors. (In fact, I'm pretty sure Freeland has already done so) Unless you're of the opinion that Canadians like being told that they should capitulate to Donald Trump. Bearing in mind of course, that this is the same Stephen Harper that criticized Jean Chretien for not blindly following the coalition of the stupid into Iraq in '03.... What does Stephen Harper have to do with anything? Harper vowed to keep sanctions on Iran even after Obama worked out a deal with Iran. Trudeau reversed that should Canadians capitulate to Obama? Obama didn't even have the support of his own party when he made that deal. It's possibly better than no deal but that being said I'm not sure why you brought up Harper. Anybody who knows anything knows he staunchly opposed Iran.

Because Scheer is going to be painted with the same brush: https://www.thestar.com/opinion/star-columnists/2018/05/10/a-stephen-harper-endorsement-of-trump-gives-the-liberals-a-foreign-policy-opening.html Quote Harper is not expressing a view different than the position staked out by the party under Andrew Scheer, if public statements by his foreign affairs critic, Erin O’Toole, are any indication. But the party has not officially taken a position and Harper’s intervention makes the former prime minister the story and it allows the Liberals to highlight its support for the deal by taking on Harper. Unless you think that Canadians in general are going to be sympathetic to politicians who curry favor with Donald Trump?

Oic what you're talking about. A political move by the Liberals. It certainly isn't good if the opposition leader is having to play defense during the campaign. AFAIK, Scheer hasn't spoken out about it one way or another, but until he does, Trudeau is going to make it look like they're on the same page. Harper is unpopular, so the Liberals will be hoping some of that rubs off....

189lb enforcers?
As an anti-theist, I am uncomfortable with many Concervative connections to religion, but it’s the only ideology which I can ethically prescribe to, as a Voter. JT is the exact definition of regressive degeneration and the mental disorder of Liberalism. Regan says it best: Stand on on your own two feet. If you are truely incapable, we will look after you.

Keep in mind I didn't vote conservative in the last election but he was pm for 10 years and the Conservatives received 31% of the vote in 2015 when he was cpc leader. The liberals under Trudeau received what 40%? By that logic Trudeau is unpopular. You aren't the first to make that claim but it's always kind of a head scratcher. I'd say that an almost 70% disapproval rate certainly means that Harper is unpopular. YMMV...
