Well hopefully it doesn't. I mean Ignatieffs unpopularity didn't rub off on Trudeau and the Liberals in 2015.

Too much stink from Harper so the people didn't notice the Ignatieff odor back in 2015.

Oh I think the people noticed the Ignatieff and liberal odor hence the ndp was elected the official opposition. Reality is the guy was pm for 10 years and then wasn't exactly destroyed considering his party received 31% of the vote and picked up 99 seats I believe.

That election was there for the taking for the NDP in 2015 IMHO.  Might never get that good a chance.

Well it is comparable. You said Harpers unpopularity could rub off and I pointed out Ignatieffs unpopularity didn't rub off on JT.

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and disagree...

Firstly Ignatieff wasn't even Trudeau's predecessor. Secondly, he was Liberal leader for less than three years and never formed a government.

Compare that with Harper being Scheer's immediate predecessor, making an unpopular statement in the Times, in support of an unpopular American president, all coming after almost a full decade in the PM's office...

But yeah, other than that, they're exactly the same...

Sure, but who cares? We talking about Harper and whether his unpopularity will rub off on Scheer.

Scheer is quite capable of generating his own unpopularity. He's also now courting separatist politicians in Quebec to join the CPC. It'll be interesting to see how that experiment plays out.

My grandpa votes conservative.

Is it true that the Conservative Party policies are more geared towards the over 70 year old in Canada mostly worried about income splitting their investment incomes.... ?

So happy to see the CDN Liberal Party has policies to benefit all ages of Canadians and not only wealthy retired  seniors.

Spin? I suppose facts are "spin" when they don't fit your narrative. In any event, you don't seem to be too worried about Scheer's prospects after Harper's NYT ad, so I suppose that's answer enough.

No I'm not. I also don't think many Canadians are including the PM. Like JT said Mr Harper is a private citizen.

I think the only one making something out of this might be you. Remember that interview Ignatieff gave where he claimed at some point Quebec will separate? Oh guess it doesn't matter there was a interim leader between him and JT.

Btw in your earlier post you forgot about Rona Ambrose.
