[Trade] Oilers trade Greg Chase to Panthers for future considerations

I think one of CDC’s real nerds like Sid bumped the trade thread to provide that update when it happened.

 

remember the days when Canucks fans thought Fox would be a top 6 scorer? Then he gets traded for the loaning of a career AHL’er. And I’m pretty sure some people around here swore this trade would bite us in the arse someday.

He did score a boat load of goals as an overager in junior. Even as a PPG player in the ECHL, he's still only played in 2 career AHL games. You'd think he'd at least be in Europe making 100K +.

EP has him playing in the DEL and it looks like he’s doing okay with 13-9-22 in 36 games. From what I can tell players can make a decent living in the top German league, especially imports- looks like most salaries fall between 75-200K for players of his ilk.

 

Not a bad move on his part. He’s two months younger than me, yet I make half as much and probably hate my job 10x more.

...like Sanguinetti, Shinkaruk, and now Subban.
