When do Sedins being traded become discussed more?

Recommended Posts

I realize that the Canucks are not completely out of the playoff picture yet. However, do you see Sedins waiving NTC and do you see a team moving some high draft picks and prospects to go all in this year? I could see Sedins being valuable for a team going all-in as third liners on a deep team as well as 2nd unit PP.

Teams I think could go “all in” may be Washington or NYR (play with AV) again. Thoughts?

I do believe Sedins will either retire or re-sign in the summer as well, but I really hope they’d consiser being moved but I feel like Benning will respect what they want.

McKenzie says that management and ownership sees them as legacy players and do not want to trade them (Montreal TSN several months ago).  They would have to ask for a trade and they've already said they don't want to be traded.

Nope. This has been discussed a million times: they want to retire Canucks.

This... a million times this.

The odds are so low of this happening that we have covered the ground more than enough.

Not gonna happen.  Ever.

Not only has it been said over and over and over by Canucks brass, and the twins themselves, it would be nearly impossible to find someone with that kinda cap space.     And if someone did have that cap space, they certainly won't be a cup contender, so why would they make that trade, and why would the Sedin's agree to that?

As others have mentioned. The twins have said countless times that they have absolutely no desire to leave, not even for a Cup. Their families are here and their kids were born here. As far as North America goes, I'm sure Vancouver will be their home for life. Benning has also said that he and the management team will respect their wishes, so the odds of them being traded are essentially infinitesimally close to zero.
