[GDT] Sweden vs. Canada | Gold Medal Game | Jan. 05, 2017 | 5:00 PM PT

A 19 year old kid throws away a medal after losing one of the best games I've seen in years. People ranting about him not dealing with the loss in an adult way may have a point if he was truly an adult, but he's just a kid that is sick of losing tourney after tourney.

His medal, to do what he wants with.

it's not an equation of war to sport - don't be petty and attempt to make it that.

it's an entirely similar act - plain and simple.

the act of throwing the medal away is all - throwing away something that is one's own, that was earned, but that isn't necessarily embraced at the time.

this 18 yr old is a future millionaire, very gifted and blessed with talent - isn't going to war - the background contexts are not comparable - that is obvious and goes without saying.

but some people were even up in arms when vets threw their medals away.  not for anyone else to decide how they should feel about it.

I think people should let it go and not make more of it than it was - a young guy understandably upset that didn't care for the consolation medal in that moment.

You are the one trying to make it petty..

It is not the same by a long shot.but keep on believing that it is
