There is nothing in our CBA about emergency recalls, this transaction is void

I was referring to this clause where I may dress a Dman as a forward for a short period of time

3.1 - Active Roster Guidelines

Each team is permitted to carry a maximum of 23 players on their active roster at any given time. Of these 23 players, a maximum of 14 may be forwards, 8 defensemen, and 2 goaltenders. In the event of an emergency, General Managers may request to dress a forward as a defenseman, and vice versa. However, this should be considered a short-term solution and immediate steps should be taken to rectify the situation.

I am doing this for a short duration while I work on a permanent solution.

That would appear to be so. So much for me being the CBA guy...

I think I just used cruddy wording...it isn't an emergency call up so much as a D guy playing F, which for me is an emergency, lol

No I just didn't think we had a provision for this, but we do. Good on you for doing your due diligence

Well? What to do as GM in Florida...

Our style in the last year of Fantasy has geared heavily to patience. Probably a reflection of getting spanked in some Puck deals. :P

Florida has also been patient here in EKL.

And with good reason. We have 4 or 6 vets; Stastny, Backes, Justin Williams, Reilly Smith, Ben Bishop & Andrew Ladd. But the majority of our team is young, and yet to hit its prime. No reason to trade young players if you're building, right? Our team is anchored by Ryan Johansen, Bishop, Seth Jones & Matthew Barzal. But we have not budged from 25th all year. Save being in 16th after week 2.

Teams are welcome to register their interest in any of our players. We may not make any move until the deadline. We'll start listening at any variation on trades that make us better long term. Save Bishop who has an NMC. Cap also wont be an issue as we have boat loads. We will consider modest futures for good younger players, on non play-off teams. Or as part of a hockey deal or cap clearing awap. All If the price is right? http://ekleague.com/cap/?team=Florida

Ryan Johansen in particular should be valuable. Signed long term, young, and playing top line on Nashville. Reilly Smith scored 22 points in 20 play-off games last year.

Minnesota waives Tom Pyatt, and sends him to the minors. Then activate Martin Hanzal from I/R in his place.

Laurent Brossoit

Conditional 2020 Colorado 3rd

Quote

If Laurent Brossoit plays at least 10 NHL games in the 2019-20 season then the 3rd round pick becomes their 2020 4th round pick instead. Also: should he begin 19-20 on an NHL Roster but become injured and therefore not attain 10 games due to injury, then the 3rd will also become a 4th.

Love this emergent backup and his high pricetag is mitigated by the high calibre of play our scouts have seen from him he will slot into the backup job right away as Antti Raanta is not likely back off IR this year at all. That we didn't have to give up any current team members in the deal was another plus. Thanks to Gally for good paced and fun work on this deal.
