Junk Food Playoff, Conference Semi-Finals

After an exciting play-in and first round, the Calorie Cup playoffs continue with the conference semi-finals!

You get to vote in the winner of each of the four playoff series! (Voting will end May 9 or sooner, depending on the outcome of the NHL playoffs)

The matchups are:

High Sodium Conference

HS1: (1) Nachos vs (4) Onion rings



HS2: (2) Poutine vs (3) Hot wings



Glucose Overload Conference

GO1: (1) Ice cream sundae vs (5) Chocolate mousse



GO2: (2) New York cheesecake vs (3) Dairy Queen ice cream cake

I always found them lacking in taste, but my god I love the center.  It's been ages since I had one though, I think I voted for the cheesecake.  Also Seinfeld was right, the key to a good sundae is putting the fudge at the bottom so you can control your fudge distribution.

The NHL Conference Semi-Finals will end tonight and so this round of the Junk Food Playoffs will also draw to a close. Vote now if you haven't already, and we'll see which foods make it to the Conference Finals!

After the end of regulation in Game 7, poutine and hot wings are tied!

 

We will go to overtime, where the next goal wins -- first one to vote for either poutine or hot wings will determine which food item goes on to the Conference Finals!
