Schaller peaked last year on a great Bruins team, he will NEVER see those point totals again. He won't play more than 100 more NHL games.

Then I'd say we're in a good position since it means Schaller couldn't beat any of our prospects for a job. What's the issue? Are you paying his salary?

1.  So he peaked after his first full season?

2.  He's already played 176 NHL games.

Why do you guys keep doubling down?  Your holes are only getting deeper.

Schaller's stats from the last 2 seasons:

2016-17: 59 GP | 14 5v5 PTS | 7.9 shot % | 6.0 on-ice shot %

2017-18: 82 GP | 22 5v5 PTS | 9.0 shot % | 4.8 on-ice shot %

Schaller has been able to produce roughly 20 even strength points per 82 games played for the last two seasons without relying on powerplay time or unsustainable shooting percentages. If he has a significant statistical regression, it will be news to me.

"lulz"

Ironically, instead of going by 3-year-old scouting reports with but one NHL under him, why not listen to people actually from Boston, like Joe Haggerty?

"Schaller skates pretty well for a big 6-foot-2, 219-pound left wing and occasionally flashed a dangerous wrist shot off the rush that made him the biggest offensive threat on a Bruins fourth line that actually kicked in a combined 28 goals during a very solid regular season."

https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/bruins/look-bruins-free-agents-tim-schaller

More from Haggerty:

"Tim Schaller has been a great success story with the Bruins over the last couple of seasons... Schaller went about establishing himself as a fourth line wing at the NHL level capable of providing energy, occasional offense, and consistent effort."

"The 27-year-old Schaller had his best NHL season while suiting up in all 82 games, cracking double-digits with a career-high 12 goals and 22 points and adding a team-high three short-handed goals to provide some value on special teams."

As already stated, on the Canucks he would have been 5th in goals, despite being only 15th in TOI amongst forwards.

Yah, Schaller was such a strong skater / 4th line player that the Bruins chose to NOT resign him this year....

Is he going to another Foundational piece like Sutter....

Too funny... Keep it up.

Schaller is a borderline NHL player... If he struggles this year he goes on waivers....

You do know as a FA he can choose to leave right? Maybe they wanted him and he wanted to go elsewhere hence him coming to Vancouver.

SO many FA's want to come a bottom feeder eh?

Neat. If good players sign here we wont be a bottom feeder. Also we have good prospects coming up very soon you should attempt to read up on them.

Or wallow in misery, your call really.
