There will obviously jobs made for them should they wish. If its one thing we have learned about the Sedins is they have thick skin and could handle any negativity thrown at them by the media and hockey world. They recognized it was the right time to move on from playing hockey and all the physical wear and tear it had on their bodies. They strick me as the type of guys that like to work. They will still be able to spend time with their families. The President doesn't always have to travel for road games. I think this is the perfect fit for them. Just my opinion though
Drewismyname
Those questioning his balls or whatnot to do the job.. He doesn't need the work. He doesn't need to work. Probably just wants to live a stress free (keyword free) life doing something that he enjoys. Being the figurehead of an operation he may or may not have a huge amount of say in how it operates could just be something that doesn't really make his life enjoyable. At this point I think all canucks fans can agree that he has truly earned that in his life and can be happy for him and his family.

I also think he's earned the right to his privacy if in fact he was asked to resign. This man did more than anyone for this franchise and already there's rumours this wasn't voluntary. bigbadcanucks
MoDo connection...Markus Naslund, Peter Forsberg, Henrik and Daniel Sedin. Have the MoDo connection bring in their buddies Niklas Lidstrom, Daniel Alfredsson and Mats Sundin. Hockey Ops management by committee by Swedish hockey royalty with Markus as president. Vancouver Canucks are re-named Vancouver Vikings.

IBatch
We don't need another former player (although Linden was fine given he had some experience in the NHLPA) doing this important role. Benning can keep the seat warm until someone good can be hired, no thanks to the Sedins, they could still play if they want and haven't even had one summer off yet. We need a real hockey business guy in place to help guide the rebuild.

Canucks Curse
Dean Lombardi did a great job compiling picks - drafted quick, kopitar, doughy but also Dustin brown, Nolan, Trevor Lewis, Alex Martinez, voyonov, toffoli, Pearson, muzzin.

Wizardofoz
The brand new rebuild starts with the new president, 3 years tops. Hires his own GM and coach's contract runs out. Contracts handcuff the team for the expansion draft, a big item.

Like a good prospect, let him develop before throwing him in over his head. I could honestly see him playing a big part in a future mangement group. Always liked that guy.
