I think they can have both. New team in Seattle and then move Florida to Quebec or Houston. The fan support for the Panthers is truly embarrassing for the NHL. Looks small time. If the league was smart they’d finally admit some markets just don’t work and re-locate a team...but they won’t, mean while across the border a perfectly fine 400$ million dollar arena is collecting dust in Quebec City... Whaleroad Train
Should have played the game in the local cemetery. Would have got more spectators.
elvis15
Preseason is a harder sell in most markets, and when you're in a market that already has just about the cheapest tickets around, even giving them away for free won't put butts in the seats. 3:30 start before a 7pm doubleheader and I'm not surprised. Then again, I have very little interest in the Panthers moving. If they do, I could see Luongo making a bid to retire even sooner than he planned and us getting stuck with the recapture penalty. The Canadian fans are paying extra for our games to support these loser teams. It’s a friggin joke, but the league know Canadians love hockey, so they exploit us. Crimson-JH
Meanwhile, the Vegas Golden Knights have a stellar preseason opener attendance of 17,600+, nearly sold out. Everyone in Vegas is excited for hockey to be back and still get excited about winning as usual...even acting like they are going to start the Cup parade already... I keep telling the fans to calm down, preseason means nothing! They still get way over-enthusiasm...

Chronic.Canuck
I'm no math expert (I'm pretty dang good) but 674 out of a ballpark 15000 seats gives a modest 4.49333% attendance ratio. That's pretty good, right?!?!
