No way I could (see: willing) part with what was needed for Josi. Great trade! 1

Monty
Oh yeah, good trade for @Master Mind as well. Really fair overall. MM is a Cup contender, so parting with TT made sense.

Art Vandelay
@Nail Winnipeg Assigns Scott Harrington, to make room for Josi. Winnipeg also recalls Stefan Noesen(?) to bring us back up to 23 roster spots. All our depth AHL depth is injured , so you could really bring up anyone, it doesn’t matter.

BM24
Wayne Simmonds is another piece we are looking to move, that has been known for months. I have contacted every team on his LNTC list, for the most part, but if interested, contact me and I can let you know if you're on his list of teams he will waive for. Simmonds could very well be moved out this weekend, perhaps tonight if things align.
Monty
The New York Rangers have signed Matt Grezlyck to a 2 year extension, worth $5.4M ($2.7M AAV). @JimLahey @Nail

Popular Post CDCFL Insider
Rumours, Rumours, Rumours 1) I'm hearing both the Columbus Blue Jackets and Carolina Hurricanes are all in on acquiring a playoff netminder. Could these two teams be the possible destinations for Martin Jones and Robin Lehner? 2) Another note on Columbus, although they have acquired Kevin Labanc and Ben Chiarot already, it seems as if they may feel tempted to pull the trigger on another big deal. I could see them interested in a defencemen, with the likes of Kris Letang, TJ Brodie and Justin Schultz being targets. 3) Interesting to see what happens to Schultz. After the trade of Roman Josi, GM @BM24 stated the core pieces of the team, however Schultz was no where to be seen. Could he be on his way out? 4) I believe all is quiet in the desert for now, but the Arizona Coyotes continue to shop Max Domi. I've heard the rumoured ask includes at least a 1st round pick, and Domi may appeal to not only contenders but also non playoff teams due to his age being only 23. 5) Spoke a bit about Columbus being interested in Kris Letang, would not be surprised if the Buffalo Sabres have touched base there as well. That team has some cap space, and the prospects and picks to make a deal happen. 6) Up in Canada's capital, I'm hearing there's been some interest in Brandon Pirri and Nick Foligno. Foligno controls his destiny with a LNTC, however Pirri could be that depth goal scoring piece that all contending teams need. 7) With the Boston Bruins selling some assets off for futures, it may open the door for the Tampa Bay Lightning to take control of the Atlantic Division. Could this be a blessing, or a move to be regretted? After all, the Atlantic Division winner will likely have to play the first wildcard, a team which may finish ahead of them in the standings. Look for the Lightning to be aggressive and try and make a big splash in the next couple weeks. 8) A bit of news on the future of a couple Montreal Canadiens.. I'm hearing that there have been no contract talks yet between the Habs and Martin Jones, consider him good as gone. However, there has been some contact between the Habs and Matt Duchene's agent. Duchene has yet to make a decision, and if I were a betting man, I'd consider both players traded this deadline. 9) After seeing Boston sell off Ryan Ellis and Mathieu Perreault, I'm hearing teams have contacted the Bruins to try and pry Nikolaj Ehlers and Tom Wilson out of Bean-town. I think they weren't flat out rejected, however were told it would take a very high price. 10) On the Wayne Simmonds front, I'm hearing there are mainly 3 teams in the mix. The Carolina Hurricanes, Colorado Avalanche and the Columbus Blue Jackets. 11) I don't think the Edmonton Oilers will be too aggressive on the trade front, they know they will only be getting better. However, I could see them adding a younger piece that would fit in their core if the price is right. Timo Meier anyone? Could also see Micheal Ferland potentially as a fit. 12) My Vegas source has told me the teams moving closer to a TJ Brodie deal, the source thinks there is potential it gets done this weekend. Talks on William Karlsson and Brendan Gallagher have been slow, but the team fully expects them to heat up in the next week. 13) Could Anton Stralman be the next big name out of Chicago? After seeing the Blackhawks teardown yesterday, I'm hearing the Tampa Bay defender may be open to a move. I'm also curious to see if the Blackhawks plan on keeping David Perron and Radko Gudas, or if they try and flip them for futures. 14) We've already seen lots of 2019 1st Round Picks moved this deadline. A few teams still have theirs left, and this may play into their advantage now. Teams that have held their 1st Rounders such as Columbus, Colorado, Toronto and Edmonton may be able to get the player of their choosing by virtue of holding onto their 1sts. 15) Finally, I've heard a couple teams have tried to trade for Evgeny Kuznetsov out of Detroit. I think it's highly unlikely anything will happen, but this is something to keep an eye on in the next couple weeks. 7

Master Mind
Thanks to @BM24 for the smooth negotiations. It's tough to trade K'Andre Miller. We feel he has a bright future, and leaves us with only 3 Millers. Teravainen and a 1st are significant pieces, but that's the price you gotta pay for a key contributor on a contender. I appreciate @Art Vandelay Contributions. He did most of the talks while I slept. Woke up to see there's a deal, sent it in, and went back to bed
Monty
Going through the 2017 CDCFL draft right now. Like seeing who was picked right before and right after my picks. Also, pretty clear @Canuck Surfer won the draft by selecting Pettersson with the 9th pick: 25th: Alexei Lipanov 26th: Shane Bowers 27th: Conor Timmins 34th: Jake Oettinger 35th: Joseph Woll 36th: Cayden Primeau 37th: Ivan Lodnia 38th: Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen 39th: Maxime Comtois 55th: Keith Pettruzzelli 56th: Morgan Geekie 57th: Scott Reedy 75th: Casey Fitzgerald 76th: Luke Martin 77th: Jake Leschynshyn Bowers turned out to be a good pick at that spot. Woll was flipped. Without looking into it, I completely forget what I got for him. Ukko-Pekka was a good pick at that spot. Although, Comtois was definitely a nice selection as well. Geekie was traded to Ottawa. Think it was a package for Faksa. Luke Martin? Well, could’ve been better. He’s been in a recent trade talk. 1 1
Mr.Miyagi
Trade Deadline goals: Attempt to deal pending UFA players - All available except Bob of course Attempt to bring in some youth, but may look at getting ready/NHL players back. A couple clause players people may be interested in Gustav Nyqvist (Carolina, Ottawa, Anaheim) Mike Green (Columbus, Edmonton, Montreal, San Jose, Columbus) If any of those teams have interest, feel free to reach out. Have tons of prospects I could move to upgrade. Definitely need to look at my defense.
