Lol I live in Edmonton and was amazed to hear how many people are happy with their start - a team with McDavid should not be just above .500 haha

And now they are on a 3 game winning streak so looks like McLellan is safe for now.

Yeah have to admit they are playing better - and they finally gave Koskinen a start in net and he looked good - imho their success rests on Talbot not having to play 70 games this year.

Yeo is the low hanging fruit since he called himself out.

Todd Mclellan should go too. The Edmonton radio guys are hilariously thinking that things will just work out organically...and bashing the Canucks being too good to be true start.

Lol he called himself out because he wants outa there most likely.

I don't know which coaches will be fired, but whoever they are, it's usually a safe bet that their GMs were more deserving of getting canned, and that several of their core players probably deserved to be traded/waived/bought out as well.

Firing the coach is an easy shake up for a struggling team, but it's rarely addressing the real problem. In some cases, sure, the coach needs to get s**tcanned out of there, tout suite. But most NHL coaches are doing a fine enough job with what they're being given, but there's only so much they can control. As the ancient proverb says, "you can't make chicken salad out of chicken s**t."

BABCOCK FACES SUSPENSION FOLLOWING INVESTIGATION!

(ESPN) - Toronto Maple Leafs Coach, Mike Babcock, is under investigation by the National Hockey Leauge following comments he made to ESPN earlier this week. The incident came when Babcock was asked about the players training regimen.

"We have a bunch of guys on Testo Drive 365," Babcock said in an exclusive interview. "The results have just been been phenomenal."

Testo Drive 365 is a "supplement system" that has significant results in men, including increasing muscle mass, strength endurance, and mental clarity, as well as shedding fat by speeding up the metabolism's natural fat-burning mechanisms. Babcock says that the results have been nothing short of incredible, far outpacing anything he thought was possible.

We reached out to the NHL with Babcock's comments and received a response that "The NHL is conducting an extensive investigation into Babcock's comments and will release a full report when sufficient evidence has been gathered. It is critical that the NHL protect the integrity of the game and any violation will result in the harshest punishment available."

When asked if he was afraid of punishment, Babcock responded: "I doubt it. I've spoken with our nutrition team and Testo Drive 365 is an all natural nutritional supplement."

But analysts aren't sure that Babcock will get off so easily. They point to a couple features of the supplement that could be problematic for the head coach:

1. THIS COMBO MAKES ATHLETES 150% STRONGER ON AVERAGE AND TRIPLES STAMINA MAKING IT UNFAIR TO PLAYERS WHO DON'T USE IT.

2. THESE SUPPLEMENTS DON'T HAVE TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH A GYM. USERS EXPERIENCE MASSIVE MUSCLE GROWTH AND FAT LOSS WITHOUT LIFTING A SINGLE WEIGHT. THE NHL COULD CONSIDER THIS TO BE A "CHEAT" AS IT REQUIRES HARDLY ANY EFFORT ON THE USER'S PART.
