Maybe one of our guys who maybe needs a different scenery(Gagner,Erickson) can be swapped for their guy(Kassian) who is looking for a different scenery? Seems like a possible win win situation to me.

Gagner's contract is far more movable than LE's.  Edmonton would be wanting to get rid of Lucic in exchange for LE's contract and there is no way that gutless piece of garbage should ever be allowed to disrespect our jersey.

I loved when we got Kassian for soft old Cody. Kassian, like Virtanen, had a plethora of special talents (big, mean, fast, could score in junior, fights). But Kassian never put it all together.

No point in going back to him now imo. Hopefully unlike Kassian, Jake can put it all together.

Maybe trading LE for kassian plus we pay a bit of LE's contract. That might  make the offer more attractive having a guy like LE at a discount.

I'd rather just keep LE than waste cap paying him to play elsewhere long-term.  We already are paying Luongo thanks to the idiot Benning replaced.

I'm rooting for him but I don't want him here. We've turned the page and we don't need to bring in yet another placeholder.

Ya who is he going to make passes to???????himself ? Lol

Neither of those two could drive a bus through the net nevermind a puck

4 years X 6 million for LE is looking tougher and tougher to swallow when he has not improved in the 3 season he has been here. I could easily swallow paying Zack his 1.9 Million and eating say 1 million of LE's. A gamble for both teams but if things do not improve, 6 million of dead weight for 4 years is hard to manage.

We'll have to agree to disagree then.  Retaining salary long term simply isn't acceptable to me.

Jake and Kassassin aren’t really the same. Kassian is quick for his size, Jake is quick by every metric. Kassian is bigger and meaner. Jake isn’t really a fighter, definitely not on Kassian’s level. Jake is more of a grinder, Kassian is a PF.

Red flags everywhere.  Given what we know about Kassian's off ice issues I wouldn't go anywhere near a trade to get him back.  I loved Kassian when he was here and I always hope he could turn it around, but he's got way too many personal issues and you don't want that sort of thing around a young crew of up and coming Canucks.

Thanks Sedge.  My take is pretty much the same.  Kass really showed something in the playoffs two years ago. But now he wants out?????

Something does not add up here.

This is silly. Kassian started his addiction problems in Vancouver. Why bring him back, and potentially help trigger that again? How does that help anyone?

There's 29 other potential destinations...actually, make that 28, b/c Montreal ain't going there either.
