I know it's boring, but posters should always indicate 'sarcasm'. It isn't as obvious as the poster might think. This was obviously a poster that was having a bad day, yet quite a few took his sarcasm as a serious thought.

Mate some of the genuine proposals on here are so stupid it’s impossible to assume any of them are satire.

Puljujarvi and Suzuki sent down today

Strike while the Oilers are dumb?

It was Yamamoto not Suzuki but I’d definitely take a chance on Puljujarvi. Guys got untapped potential and the Oilers have a history of destroying 1st rounders.

Didn't the Canucks do the same with Virtanen? Was it dumb then? Perhaps the Oilers have finally figured out these guys need to be developed first. Obviously if they're available for cheap then for sure, but I highly doubt it.

Pool party another ruined prospect by the Oilers?

Seems like a similar path for Virtanen who is slowly figuring things out now at 22 (Puljujarvi is 20). It's a high probability that the Oilers ruin prospects, but they may be doing the right thing this time.

Interesting thing I found out looking up Puljujarvi, he was actually born in Sweden.

Gotta have him for the all world Canucks team

He was ranked in the "big 3" that year, Chia woulda been roasted.  Then again, MDC was ranked in the "big 5" in 2014.

if there was ever a time for an organization to drop one spot for need vs BPA that was it. JP was riding some Finnish hype and his numbers weren't that spectacular, it could have easily been justified I think.

Wonder honestly what it woukd take for a now on the hot seat Chia pet to dump him

Its going to have to be clothed in a larger multi player deal I think (maybe as part of a cap dump of Russel?), I don't think they move him on his own anymore as a 1 for 1 for a quality defence prospect, no one's going to do that now, not even Carolina with all their depth.

I loved Kassians game last night. He logged a lot of minutes. I wonder what he would look like on a line with EP. Like Gino was to Bure. I would like to see Kass with EP. Leipsic for Kassian.

We all love Kassian.  He’s a loveable player, because of his style, and his overcoming off ice issues.  He’s not able to play big minutes though, so he restricted to the bottom lines, and some PK.  He’s in great shape now too.  Some people don’t have the elite player (minutes wise), and Kassian is one of those guys.

I think he was the Oilers best player last night.

He's got good hands as well. Maybe a little empty between the ears....lol, but good hands and wheels.

Ok, i'll play....

Pullijarvi + Kassian + Russel

for

Lind + Edler + Dahlen

Pullijarvi > Dahlen

Kassian < Lind

Russel << Edler

Edler becomes their best d man on an expiring contract. They can re sign or let him walk if it doesn't work. Russel is a cap dump for the Oilers but a warm body for the Canucks that plays hard and does what it takes to win.

Pullijarvi has a higher ceiling than Dahlen, but they can justify to the trade to their fans saying they are close.

Kassian needs to go, Lind has middle 6 potential.

Actually, after writing that, if i'm Benning i don't know if i do that deal. Although the idea of Pullijarvi playing with Petterrson is pretty darn tempting.

Also the idea of a Kassian - Beagle - Virtanen line would be awesome to watch. Forecheck forecheck forecheck.
