Sharks picked this guy in the 7th round and he might have top 6 NHL potential. He couldn't crack their AHL team last year and is now getting lots of points on the top line with Cody Glass. Im not sure how much of it is him just being able to play with Glass. Also he is 20 so that makes his WHL points less impressive. What would his value be? Is he worth taking a chance on? He will still need a few years of AHL seasoning.

His numbers are not impressive for a 20 year old playing with one of the CHLs best prospects.

They are impressive actually. Anyone posting around 2ppg is playing impressive hockey...it's a matter of that translating to pro. Fox was slow and couldn't translate to  pro but his junior numbers were still impressive.

Saw him play against the Royals a couple of times. He's a hardworker and willing to go to the dirty areas and grind for a goal. His offence really took off this year because he is older and also got to play with Cody Glass. I see him more suited as a 3rd liner (a solid one) in the NHL if he develops properly. I am not someone who gets to too hung up on big point producers in junors especially the WHL due to players like Hunter Shinkaruk, Emerson Etem and Linden Vey etc. However, I do think Blichfeld has good NHL potential but not necessary top 6 potential.

Keep in mind he had a higher ppg before glass came down from Vegas.
