Ossi Vaananen
Quote The Vancouver Canucks announced today that Olli Juolevi has undergone successful knee surgery and is expected to make a full recovery for training camp. After thorough evaluation, rest and conservative treatment, surgery was determined by Canucks medical staff, in consultation with specialists, as the best option for Juolevi's long-term health and career. The surgery was successfully performed today with an estimated return to play timeline of six months. I like how they just snuck 'out until training camp' in there. Sucks for the guy, he was coming along in Utica.

Fateless
TRAINING CAMP?! That's like a whole freaking 7-8 months away. What the hell kind of injury could he be recovering from that has that type of recovery time frame? This really depressing news. It was nice to see him finally taking steps to reach the level that he was drafted at and now it looks like that may never happen. That's a huge amount of time for a kid of Juolevi's age to lose in his development curve.
coastal.view
could be the first 40 year old rookie by the time he is healthy enough long enough to join the canucks sorry for the black humour

NickTheGreek
Say what you want but this was a bad pick and it's getting even worse with the luck factor If Benning didn't draft Pettersson he'd be long gone.
Odd.
What the hell happened?? He was a few weeks away, or so I was led to believe. he's lost a lot of development time the last couple of years. This really sucks, but great news that everything went fine. Hoping his recovery process goes well. but man did not expect this news at all. That's 7-8 months of not playing though his knee would probably be healed right around the beginning of summer, giving him at least some time to train over the summer. Hopefully they monitor Juolevi through his recovery process and make sure he's maintaining a healthy lifestyle, unlike what happened with Virtanen

EternalCanuckFan
Hopefully Juolevi doesn't turn into the next Sami Salo (from a health perspective). Hope he has a speedy and complete recovery! Even with Hughes in tow, I suspect the Canucks are going to be extra hungry to acquire another blue chip defensive prospect or an establish young D. Silky mitts
Didn’t like passing on mt at the time and it just keeps looking worse and worse . One of bennings bigger blunders. Oh well hope he has a good recovery we need him to make the show .
