[Waivers] Mike McKenna (Flyers claim McKenna)

Doubt it, they have their temporary goalies in place.  Why take on another NHL contract that you'll have to rid yourself of once the other goalies come back.

They pick him up until the goalies are healthy and waive him again when not needed. Either we claim him back and send him straight to Utica, another team picks him up, or he clears and he gives them back some depth from when they lost two on waivers. I have no problem with it as we would just need to sign some ATO to fill in for Utica for a week or two until McKenna hits waivers again.

6:30 am Fri.. CapFriendly showing TML demoting Kaskisuo to AHL. Andersen is on IR for another 6 days. Waiver jitters starting to seep into my thoughts !! (........hopefully it's Sparks returning. )

Sparks is not at practice but Andersen is in his normal spot per Toronto media over twitter.  Andersen was put on IR retroactive to 23 December - he can be activated at any time.

Too bad Mtl didn't claim him in the first intermission last night.

Is this nothing more but a dong move by Philly?

Elliott and Stolarz both hurt, running with Neuvirth and wunder-kind Hart right now. This probably lets them send Hart back down to the minors (more appropriate for his development) and go with Neuvirth/McKenna until Elliott is healthy (apparently a couple weeks out).

We'll likely be able to re-claim McKenna when they put him back on waivers then if we haven't found a better/comparable solution elsewhere.

.Does Philly need to waive a goalie now? maybe we can just swap. They might just send Hart to the AHL tho
