"It's not too bad. Probably as good news as we could have hoped for," Green said. Pettersson sat out Saturday's game after suffering the injury Thursday night against the Montreal Canadiens. ---------- https://www.cbssports.com/g00/fantasy/hockey/news/canucks-elias-pettersson-mri-reveals-slight-mcl-sprain/?i10c.ua=4&i10c.encReferrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8%3d Pettersson is only expected to miss one or two weeks with a sprained MCL, Lance Hornby of The Toronto Sun reports. The Canucks don't play again until Thursday. If the young dynamo is able to return in one week's time, he will have only missed a couple of games, but chances are he'll miss a bit more time. We'll continue to monitor Pettersson's status and issue updates as they become available, but this news is definitely positive for all parties involved. Canuck Surfer
7 hours ago, Tom Sestito said: He sucks by the eye test too. In regards to the questions you asked, he sucks at those things too. I have no idea how you can watch him play and conclude that he's got good puck skills and passing ability. I understand being a fan and wanting to support everything, but the guy is the worst defenseman who has played consistent minutes for us in at least a decade. Eye test, normal stats, advanced stats, contract vs production... he fails in every aspect. But his canadian kid/60 stat is great. An NHL GM trades a 1st round asset plus for Guddy. Re signs him not once, but twice... More than two NHL coach has given Guddy 2knd pair minutes. A NHL coach, who has been to a cup final, has given Guddy top pair minutes. In the first round of play off’s. But your Bronx Cheer is louder and more important? OK! You are entitled to your opinion. You are not alone. I just don’t share it. I knew it was a sprain...many armchair doctors on this forum were thinking ripped meniscus, torn ACL, MCL lol...So many people here were straight going for the worst outcome. And then one poster was talking about how he can still walk normal with a torn ACL or MCL and not know about it. Its like if my mom had potential malignant tumor that wasnt diagnosed and my friends be saying stuff like oh, your mom might die now in a couple of months. Just too many pessimists here that I usually try to avoid the forums here.

Canucks would take precautions similar to concussion protocols just to be safe.

If only week played more games in the next week... forget about the tank, especially since Hughes will come save the defense this year. Hughes is the D man that US relied on heavily to transition from D to Offense. Him with Pettersson, Boeser, Horvat and Baertschi on PP is enough to destroy a tank. Dont forget Demko who is an upgrade and the possibility of McEwan coming up after TDL.
