Like I said before, I tore my meniscus without even knowing it, continued snowboarding for the rest of the day and it went undiagnosed for six months.

This kind of stuff varies so drastically between different people and different situations. Stop trying to blanket everything.

You're literally making up BS and passing it off as fact. First you claim there's no way you can diagnose the injury without an MRI when that's 100% incorrect. Then you keep citing anecdotal evidence, which by the way, if any competent therapist had done the McMurray test on your knee in those 6 months would've told you you had a meniscal injury

Some close calls already with EP and we can be thankful that the injuries haven't been as bad as they could have been.  Still don't like any concussion, but he's managed to slide through  fairly unscathed in a big picture way.

As he is being targeted, it's hard to criticize him for having an edge and pushing back...I refuse to do so.  Would it make it any better?  I don't know that he could have skated away from the last one, as some suggest.  Not really wanting to argue it (it's just opinions on both sides), but "tangled up" means you can't.  So the fact that he tried to respond versus not is a good thing in my viewpoint.  Despite what Raisin (love Grapes, but let's face it) says.

It is part of hockey to be subjected to possible injury.  Especially someone who is such a focal point as EP is.   Just pray it's few and far between and he doesn't change or start focusing on avoiding injury rather than playing his game.   He is so focused out there and I hate anything to nag at him.

Hurry up and heal, EP.  There's a huge and gaping hole without you.

This post did not age well.

So sad that your username is toyotasfan because toyota has built amazing vehicles for a long time.

Rewatch the highlights and see how awful Gudbranson was tonight.

In fact, you could do this for nearly any game this whole season. He had a stretch of about 5 games earlier where he looked competent.

Now he's back to being his old useless self.

Yeah , thats reaching hard there .

Good day .

Thx for posting.

Looks like 3 to 6 Weekes.

How long will it take to recover?

  • A mild MCL injury or grade one sprain should take 3 to 6 weeks to make a full recovery.

Green said his timetable is 1-2 weeks. Probably just before the all star break we might see him back, barring any setbacks.

Am I the only one who's wanting him to rest rather than All Star?

I know it's a huge opportunity for him...I'm just selfish and don't want to share him.  Or risk anything at all for a pointless show.  The NHL doesn't deserve him if they're not going to protect him.

I'll get slammed for this, I'm sure.  But it's just how I honestly feel.  In the middle of the season, when you're at war with teams it seems odd to have to befriend them and sit next to them on a bench.  I feel it should be after the season, not during.

Last thing the team needs is EP to aggravate his knee playing in that cash grab weekend

:towel:Hope he is ok for his first all-star game.

He should skip the all star game as long as his all star bonus is based on the invite only. What’s wrong with the non tank nation? First you want us to win meaningless games that do nothing but hurt the teams chances at winning a cup anytime soon and now you want our only hope to play a meaningless all star game over resting his knee? What?! I don’t get non tank nation at all. Lol

Meanwhile, Oil Country is going crazy for this elbow from Doughty on McJesus last night

In all fairness, he did take a couple of shots...I believe it was Carter who also had a cross ice hit on him.  The kind someone (Bieksa?) just said you have to avoid these days in the new NHL.  Seeing this during the game, I thought it was worse than what it was.  But he definitely does have to contend with a lot of stuff out there...Kings played him hard all night.  It's how you shut him down but I'd also probably be whining if I was an Oilers' fan.

Tbh he has as more chance for injury at practice than the asg. I think it will be great for him and the Canucks for the rest of the league to see how good a kid he is.

During practice, he's with guys who know he's their golden ticket.

The ASG is played with rivals.  The league should've seen how good he is by now...secret's out.  Which is why he's being targeted so much.  I'd rather just lay low and not lend him out to others.  Very selfish, but just how I feel.  I cringe at the thought of the league professing him as "theirs" when they don't seem to give a rat's behind about him.  Penalties aren't even assessed away from the play when he's being honed in on.   Just my honest feeling.   I hate grandstanding  and showboating.  EP's so not about that stuff.  All business and I hate to pull him off that for an NHL look at me fest.  I respect OV for his decision.

Maybe it'll have a reverse effect, who knows.  Maybe if some get to sit beside him on the bench they'll have a whole new respect for him as  a solid all around person as well as hockey player.  Not some hotshot kid that they're jealous of but a nice kid who's truly invested in this game.
