GritGrinder
Ottawa scores 4 goals at home and loses yet another game last night and are now last in the league. Why do I get a sick feeling in my stomach that the young and high-flying Colorado Avalanche are going to go on a decent playoff run (2nd-3rd round) AND get Jack Hughes next season..? -Vintage Canuck-
The Golden Knights have recalled Brandon Pirri back up from the AHL. Pirri continues to lead the AHL in points, one point up on teammate Daniel Carr. He scored, fought and received a 10-minute misconduct in his AHL return on Saturday. Kind of like the Browns one.
mll
From SportsTalkPhilly.com: "If McKenna sees the ice for the Flyers, it would mark an infamous record for the Orange and Black. Only three teams in NHL history have played seven goaltenders in a single season. No team in NHL history has started seven different goalies in a season." Detroit is the only team that is significantly "behind" the Canucks at this point and have only 2 wins in their last 13. Honestly I could see them going 5-1 or 1-5 but something like 3-2-1 is likely. -Vintage Canuck-
Nick Schmaltz will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury. Schmaltz joins Antti Raanta, Jason Demers, Christian Dvorak and possibly Michael Grabner as Coyotes’ players that are expected to miss the rest of the season.
