Pouliot had an off game, but he's shown enough progression this year to warrant del zottos departure, and he's young enough that he'll likely stick around for a bit as long as he doesn't regress and play like he did last night every night. We'll see.

Shown enough progression??? For every good play.... there is 10 bad ones. Simply not good enough. He will learn to love playing in Europe

He's not NHL ready period. Some say he will never be but the bottom line is that he should not be playing on the big club. If they think he still has "potential" then stick him in the minors and see if he can "fix" things down there. If not, bye bye.

Makes no sense to have a guy who doesn't make foolish mistakes sitting on the bench while Pouliot embarrasses us on a regular basis.

I don't think the Carolina game is a fair representation of his season. With that said, I believe his future with the team is largely dependent on Quinn Hughes' signing situation, provided he isn't traded by the TDL.

If Hughes signs at the end of March and he has a successful 8 game audition (9+ games means he's eligible for the Seattle expansion draft, but that's a whole other story) then I don't see Pouliot qualified for next season.

If Hughes does not sign until the off-season, I can see Pouliot qualified as insurance. Pouliot can then be relegated to 7th D or moved via trade/waiver wire should Hughes beat him for a spot in the top 6, which is highly probable.

It's actually 10 games.  Any player who has played 10 or more games in the NHL who is 18 or 19 counts as a season played under the expansion rules from Vegas, and the rules are identical for Seattle.

Pouliot fell in Bennings lap because he needed to play in the AHL and required waivers.  Pedan and a 4th for a former 8th OA pick is a steal but.....  This is why they're trying to develop him in the NHL.  Waiver rules haven't been kind to the 25 year old big poo and now he's nearing bust territory.  I wonder if at this point, he'd clear?  I think it's probably too late for Pouliot anyways

Yeah he's pretty much at the end of his "tryout". After this long, he should have figured it out. Obviously that is not the case. When he is being compared to questionable 7/8 dmen on this team, then its time to consider him a "bust" and move on.

I'd bet its pretty close.....

You're trying to pass off your opinion as fact because you've made pouliot your whipping boy. The guy had a bad game, but He hasn't played near as bad as you're implying. Really not sure why it makes you feel better to rip one of our own to shreds with grossly exaggerated comments

Ha ha what ever, i was just commenting on your  post stating your (opinion/fact) that he doesn"t make that number of errors. Your grossly under exaggerated comments make me wonder if you watch the games. To be honest , i believe he should have been sent to utica 20+ games ago. Thats not meant as a bash (or a whip) on the guy i  believe(not stating a fact) he is having an awful year and hasnt proved to be of NHL calibre. AGAIN   just my opinion.

There are not 10 bad plays for every good play. That's simply not true

What would this say about his team-mates if true?

The Canucks have outscored their opponents this season with Pouliot on the ice....

With him making 10 errors for every good play....that bodes awfully well for this team because, clearly, he's surrounded by elite guys that can overcome the incredible deficit he creates.
