-Vintage Canuck-
Per Elliotte Friedman's 31 Thoughts: Quote 21. In addition to Valeri Nichushkin and Brett Ritchie, Dallas is also dangling Mattias Janmark. A couple of years ago, they felt his injuries removed sorely needed speed from the roster. Janmark scored 14 even-strength goals in 2015–16, and, after returning from injury, 13 more in 2017–18. He’s got just three in 49 games this season. He’s better than he’s shown. https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/31-thoughts-whats-next-oilers-chiarelli-firing/
HerrDrFunk
Hmm, get Nichushkin and definitively put that debate from 2013 to rest?
BigCountry18
Yes get Nichushkin. Maybe Goldobin will be inspired by his Russian bro's defensive abilities. While Nichushkin is inspired by Goldobin's offensive abilities.
MeanSeanBean
What is the book on Nichushkin. He never lived up to the hype of his draft position and only seemed to put up ok numbers in the K. Has nice size and shoots left. Is there untapped top 6 positional in him? If so i wouldn't mind adding some size to our top 6 of the price was right. CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Mattias Janmark could be had and is a center/wing hybrid player. He is quick on his skates and would help considering that we struggled mightily against a quick team last night

HI5
What’s Nichushkin worth now? A third round pick? Second at best?
D-Money
Janmark is interesting, but definite pass on the other two. Ritchie is garbage, and Nichushkin probably isn't going to earn enough money here to prevent him from going back to the KHL. I wonder if Dallas would consider Goldobin for Janmark? Frees up a fair bit of cap space for them (almost $1.5M apart in salary), and provides a shake-up. Goldy might get inspired by Radulov (however, hasn't worked for VN). Jaku
Nichuskin is overrated. Janmark could be a decent middle six player. Price has to be right though.

Second at best? 37 games played, ZERO goals. $2.95M cap hit, this year and next. I suspect negative value - I wouldn't be surprised if he clears waivers. You know who should trade for him? Edmonton! Spooner + a pick. Both sides get a shake-up, Dallas gets potentially more speed. But if VN doesn't work out in Edmonton, he's still young enough to get a 1/3 buyout. Spooner is past 26, so he will cost twice as much to buy out.
rekker
Nychuskin is an NHL bust. Back to the KHL for him.
rekker
At the start of the year I would of done Tryankins rights for Nychuskin. But now the "maybe returning" of Try is worth more than Nych.
CRAZY_4_NAZZY
SCOUTING REPORT Assets Oozes hockey sense and can be a tremendous puck distributor. Is very creative and skates well, so he is difficult to defend in the offensive zone. Can play either wing or center. Flaws Needs to add more bulk to his 6-1 frame and get stronger physically in order to maximize output at the highest level. Could also stand to shoot the puck more often. Career potential Talented, creative and versatile forward with some upside. Sounds a lot like Markus Granlund but more refined offensively. Rather have Janmark patrol that second unit PP over Granny. His acceleration and foot speed gives him the inside edge on defenders. COuld be a fascinating fit with Bo or Virt
coryberg
Gagne for Nichushkin? Pretty close cap wise, play him in a top 6 role to see if he can benefit from a change of scenery. If it doesn't work (90% chance it doesn't) waive him, he either clears and plays in Utica, leaves for Europe (we are off the hook) or he is claimed (we are off the hook). No lose situation. Canucks would have to waive someone to make room for Nichushkin. Benning gave Schaller 2x 1.9M - not sure he is quite ready to waive him.
