so you had your entire set graded with psa? how much was that?

Oh no I didn't send them in for grading.  About 10 years ago, I bought a collection of PSA 10 commons for this set, about 180 cards at once.  Then added another 20 cards to the collection over the years.

I went through my cards today, have a few that are worth something?

Lemieux, Roy, Robitaille, Yzerman rookies all in great condition.

Jordan and Shaquille rookies from basketball in great condition.

Lots of other 80's cards plus tons of meh 90's cards. Lots of Bure cards.

For grading, what's the best option to get that done?

For older cards like those PSA is probably best.  They are super busy and the cheapest service they have is the $50/card.  But if you join their membership for $59 a year, you can get $12 grading with 20 card minimum.  They don't give a turnaround time, but I would guess close to a year.

Finally got my Michel Petit card in the mail so I'll post a few more pages.

Page 11 features the OG 'C', the Chief, and the Professor.

Page 12 features The Flow (for now), Cam Neely (sigh), and John Gould doing a great impression of a Grade 10 math teacher wearing hockey gear.

Gotta say Plavsic and Dorsett look darn good in those black skate jerseys.  Didn't realize how tall (6'4") Gary Smith was until I got this card (and how bad his hair was too).

Page 15 has quite the variety of eras.  Plus, I'm pretty sure Mike Robitaille paid for the "deluxe photo touch up (aka The Muscular enhance)" on his card.  Also, I think Dave Scatchard could fit an entire Kit-Kat Chunky in that photo.

Page 16 has Wellwood and Pettersson close to each other for now.  Both with amazing hands, but one with WAY more drive.  Also the late, great Jack MacIlhargey.

I'm so glad I was able to get at least one card with a Canuck in the salmon red skate jersey, courtesy of Mike Sillinger.

A few notables on page 20 with Rypien and Reinhart.  Did not realize Pouliot played that many games in a Canuck jersey...I guess they were so memorable

Can't believe it, the Andrey Pedan card I never thought I'd ever see actually popped up on one of the sites I routinely check out.  Only 29 were released and I'll have one coming my way.  Gonna be a looooooooooooooong wait until April.

Got another shipment today, with it was Trevor Letowski which completes the next 5 pages.

Pat Quinn leads off page 21 (one of my favourite cards in the binder.  I think the Garrison card is the only card with the Millionaires jersey.  Tanner Pearson is moving up this page fast.

Don Tannahill rocking some interesting 70s hair.  Page seems to be filled with skill guys or stone hands guys.

Huggy Bear features on page 24 for now.  Along with a handful of goalies, a future league shill, and a Del Zaster.

Page 25 features a really cheesy card for a cheesy guy, a hockey playing hobo, Frank Caprice rockin' some 80s hair and JT Miller (for now).  I wonder if the Canucks could still expose Leif Rohlin in the expansion draft?  It was what he did best.

Waiting on a couple of COMC orders (man, they take awhile).  The first one should have a Tim Schaller card to complete page 26.

I'd get those Kobe's graded and sold.  PSA 10s over $5000 US, 9s over $1000.  A couple years ago 10s would be around $100 and 9s around $20.

The price for PSA has gone way way up and people are waiting a year.  So many people sending in cards that are not worth sending in.

Yeah its expensive.  I guess the $100 service would be the best one for those Kobe's.  About 2 months.  They might charge you the $150 rate if the cards are 9s or better.

Here is a page each from the binders I'm helping my sons put together.  They saw me putting together the Canucks binder and want to do one of their own.   My youngest is putting together a goalie binder.  Each franchise gets a page and he wants to put them in games played.  Here's what we've gotten for the Devils so far, it has Rockies goalies in there as they were a part of the franchises history (similar to Quebec to Colorado etc).

My oldest son wants to have a Blue Jay binder like I have a Canuck binder.  Every Blue Jay that has played a game in a Jay jersey and has a Jays card is in the binder.  Here's the first page full of the top 9 Jays for games played.

Awesome collection Wilbur. Thanks for taking the time to upload the photos. Fun to click through them, and lots of cards I haven't seen before. I love that Odjick card!

I thought for sure I would have a Mark Wotton or Grant Ledyard I could send you because I have loads of '96 Leaf and '98 Score cards but I guess not..

Still waiting on my two bulk subs from August. One of them is in the "encapsulation" phase.
