I drove a 63 Rambler 3 speed for a little while, but it was my mom's and she never had a drivers license.

I bought a 1969 Buick Wildcat in high school. 350 V8 sucker could haul ass

Bought my first car last year.  2005 Volvo S60.  Had it for the end of senior year of High School, hoping it's going to last for all of uni.  It's a pretty alright ride.  Had to replace the fuel pump, and the tank is leaking a lil gas.  The car reeks of gas whenever I fill her up, hoping it doesn't cost too much to fix.  Overall, happy with it.

Generally Swedish cars are pretty solid.....

...although you do hear the occasional Saab story.....

71 or 72 Dodge Dart

i am uncertain about the year

it was a classic rust bucket

was out east, bought it when there, drove it for a year

i had a metal beam welded underneath to support that baby

or it easily could have sunk if i hit a bump too hard

it was a college car and did the trick

and it was aged and well used by the time i acquired it

a classic really .. . not much visible body rust

but the hidden rust in the undercarriage

spectacular

it still managed to do a nice road trip to chicago

1983 Mazda 626 LX, 5 speed, power locks, power windows and a sunroof. Drove it for 7 years. Never changed the oil. Couldn't rev it over 5k without it sputtering. Had a lot of memories in that car.

I had the '84. It had a push button suspension for normal and sport mode, was a fun car to drive for what it was. I definitely changed the oil though.

Bought it at 16 for 1600$

1974 VW

didnt know how to drive standard so I herked n jerked my way home from deep cove.

took it into my high school shop class to restore it.  I would go to the scrap yards in surrey and find light assemblies and a fender or two from a 67’ era as I thought  the older style chrome lenses looked better.  Did some minor engine mods and lowered all the suspension.

it was basically stock looking with nicer after market rims and all the fenders and lights were chrome from earlier models.

i drove it all the way down the coast when I graduated and stored it in garages while traveling for years and years but finally sold it.

This image is not it.  but close.

Interesting that you had a Datsun. These threads have come up before but I never posted in them, partly because of being a bit embarrassed to admit to the now extinct Datsun but largely because I have never been able to find an image of the model I owned. Apparently it's so rare google never even heard of it.

Until today

Here is an image of what I believe may be a 1967 Datsun 211. That's right, 211

I have searched on and off for it over the years and never found anything. This picture is very close looking to the one I owned. Kind of wish I'd kept it now. But after a friend of mine rolled it I kind of lost interest in it.

This exact truck was my first truck.

Bought it in '03 and only ever had to replace the starter, used to just park it on the hill and just bump start it for about 6 months haha.

I pried off the hubcaps almost as soon as I got it home, the original owner tried to make it into a Fast and Furious type truck with a fart can exhaust on it, too.

1987 GMC Sonoma S-15...great on gas!
