Expect 30+ goals each from Horvat and Pearson next year.

EP Boeser will be better.

Team should make a strong challenge for a playoff spot.

And that's not even taking into account our 2019 1st round pick (top 3 hopefully), ufa signings and trade acquisitions. I'm SO pumped for October.

Gonna need another repeat of Markstrom's stellar performance as well. Plus a full year of Hughes, especially on the 3vs3.

Ya chances of next 2019 1st making an impact is very low.  Unless top 2 pick they'll take at least couple of years to make the team and then couple more to be difference makers.

I have no doubt Marky will be just as good as he was for last half of this season.  Ian Clark is doing wonders with him.

UFA signings are an unknown. Probably try to improve defense. That's gotta be priority number one for JB.

For sure. It's all dependent on if we get the top 2 pick. Top 3 would be great too as we'd get a legitimate shot at drafting Byram. Drafting aside I'm interested to see what moves we make in the off season.

Benning went on record iirc saying the defence will be his focus this coming off season. Unfortunately it’ll likely lead to big term and $ for one of the bigger name FA’s out there if he decides to go that route instead of a trade. While I’d hate to see it happen, likely Virtanen is one of the names I’d hazard a guess would be in play.

I’m not his biggest fan, but Myers fits our needs quite well. Big and strong, RHD who can move the puck well. Would be nice if he had a bit of a mean streak but I can put up without it. However, as I said I think an overpayment will be required as he will likely have plenty of suitors leading up to free agency.

Other than that, if Benning stands pat, I guess we pray on Woo taking a huge step in the off season and training camp, and/or selecting an NHL ready dman in the draft which is highly unlikely given where we’re slated to be picking at.

I thought Hughes played great. Schenn looks like he could have some offensive upside. The Pearson/Gudbranson trade is looking very good. Leivo is still a great acquisition. Hoping for luck in the lottery and we get number 3, but my guess is it goes to the Oilers. I'd like a flashy winger to play by Petey, or a defensive stud.

Team building game.... the tankers will not be happy, but good for the team.

Great game for the Horvat line, he and Pearson have some chemistry and Ericsson is feeding off that.  Pearson is back to his confident LA self.  Both Leivo and Pearson are very similar players, both play good physical games and have good speed and a decent shot.  Having both of them gives good depth.

At this stage its all luck as to whether the Canucks would get a good pick... and we all know what Canuck luck is like.

They will have a decent pick... maybe not a star but a piece.

Just hoping Broberg is available when they do pick and they select him.

Good move in the signing of Jake Kielly... the team's future is looking really good between the posts.  Demko still has a long way to go in his development... he is nowhere near as smooth as Markstrom in his post to post movements and general positioning, but he is a fighter and never gives up.  Lots of options for the future.

Myers had a terrible game tonight... looked horrible... in comparison to Trouba who is the real talent there behind big Buff.

I think Donskoi would be a good pick up for us this summer in free agency. He'd be another fan favourite and could slot in nicely on a line with Bo and Pearson. I'm not sure if the Sharks will be able to grant him with the kind of extension he'll be looking for.

Leivo/Baertschi - Pettersson - Boeser

Pearson - Horvat - Donskoi

Ok, we won't sign him based off of one off game at the end of a season in a meaningless game...
