Jobs... It looks good for JTs re-election. :bigblush:

Obviously you don’t mean pipeline construction - beginning in summer would be beyond stupid - so what do you mean?

Can't wait to get the shovels in the ground this summer.

it certainly all seems to be pointing in that way, I think Trudeau wants to be able to say work started this summer going into the next election.

She's an idiot who thinks she's Trump. She's the picture-perfect example of what is wrong with Alberta and Albertans.

sure but it was a good dig. Horgan is just wasting time and money on these court cases and should be called out for it, its pure theatrics.

I don't think so.  The BC taxpayers are already on the hook for way too much at this point.  This is the NDP building more useless ferries.  Same money wasting.

This government is a disaster this pipeline will get built.

Very rarely do I comment on politics here but since this is your post I'll add one single comment.

The Supreme Court will not hear it because it was unanimous, it was a giant waste of money. I don’t get this province sometimes, we complain about gas/energy costs then fight everything that could possibly help make the province money. This pipeline is not going to solve the real problem though, we need refineries in B.C. & Alberta to sell domestically and the international market. But there are to many special interest groups from the USA & opec nations that are trying to block us from doing that.

This pipeline is an enormous risk in clean up costs / spill and decimation of BC coast communities industries... for next to NO GAIN to BC's economy.

Of course the SC of Canada will hear this case.     The BC Supreme court has let down BC citizens time after time and thank god we as Canadians have a real legitimate Supreme Court of Canada to protect our rights and freedoms.

An Albertan couple stopped by my friends house yesterday.....  Everyone was in the pool.   My buddy looks over and sees the Albertan guy taking a dump in my buddies pool.  Pool is full of families with kids etc. ....   The Alberta says.... " Don't worry about cleaning it up...... It .  MAY float...... "

Whats your solution to the problem, if i may ask?

i get you. No pollution is good. No pipes that break and cause pollution is good. Im down with that.

Lots of very extremely valuable resources, just sitting there, while canada imports....yes imports from another part of the world. Thats ok its their problem if a tanker leaks while going across the worlds ocean?

Maybe it’s wise to use up other countries’ oil resources and save ours?

Now we are talkin!

Doesnt really solve the problem though because if Canada has the resources, doesnt have the infrastructure to transport it, Country A will work on alternative fuels, while Country B will try to take those resources by force.

Green Party calls for Canada to stop using foreign oil — and rely on Alberta’s instead

“As long as we are using fossil fuels we should be using our fossil fuels,” said May.

For Canadian refineries in the east, bitumen from the oilsands must be upgraded to synthetic crude. May’s plan is to invest in upgraders to do it.

She acknowledges weaning Canada off foreign oil won’t happen overnight, given existing contracts Canadian refineries have and figuring out how to build the upgraders and then ship the product.
