THE TORONTO RAPTORS HAVE WON THE NBA CHAMPIONSHIP

I just hope Raptors haters and Golden State apologists don't hold that against the Raptors when they win the 'ship.

Already hearing people saying they are only winning because of no KD.

Well then what about when LeBron was by himself in the Finals, with Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving injured and still pushed the Warriors to 6?

Hypocrites. That’s what they are. Warriors are lucky to have two championships right now if we’re being honest. Cavs beat them in 2015 if they were healthy and then last year if the rest of the team showed up.

Golden State fans better keep their mouths shut because if it wasn’t for the major injuries on the 2015 Cavs and getting Durant they probably wouldn’t even have a title in the modern day.

I think the Spurs would've beat them in 2015 too if GS didn't injure Kawhi.  Yes they're a great shooting team with 2 of the greatest shooters possibly ever but they've been VERY fortunate to have won 3 championships and a dynasty title.

So if that's the case....doesn't that just say their team's crap without him?  It sort of undermines all the effort that Curry's making.

Also...it doesn't matter why they're winning.  It only matters THAT they're winning.  The rest no one cares about in the end.  Means nothing.

"Good teams find a way"...

Their dynasty started with them winning cause of injuries. Now their dynasty is ending cause of injuries. Poetic really lol.

Raptors are clearly the superior team. More poised, more length and athleticism, team is hitting peak performance at the right time. Warriors got absolutely destroyed on pick on roll plays yesterday, their defense has really declined this season. Goes without saying the Raptors have better Defense, its very weird to say this but the Raptors actually have more firepower than the Warriors (without KD). And it looks increasingly likely KD will not make it back in time. Raptors coaching deserves a lot of credit, Nurse stuck to his game plan when the shots weren't falling in the first half even though they were getting so many open shots.

In the NBA the superteams in recent history usually end pretty badly. Lakers in the early 2000s, even Miami Heat in 2014 finals they lost in 5 games to the Spurs and they had the big 3 then. Then afterwards Lebron left. Series is certainly not over yet....but it feels like there's a good chance the Warriors dynasty ends in game 5.

In the 4th quarter the Raps had been up by ~16 and GS went on a small run to cut it to 12. Instead of waiting, Nurse called an immediate TO. The play they set-up was a 3-pointer for Green in the corner. The guy that was like 0-53 the entire night. Nailed the 3pointer that put the Raps back in control. Just a beautiful play, great ball movement to a guy that was struggling. Great for confidence when a team runs a play for you despite your struggles.

Luck to have 3.

They don’t get to complain or be salty they’ve had 3 championships in 5 years.

Yes

That’s happened before Heat game 6 against Spurs. Fans left last few minutes in the 4th. Game where Allen hit the game tying shot, saved the Heat that Finals.

I remember Bosh making a comment about them after, telling them not to come back for game 7.

That happens a lot tbh

I’m new to watching basketball.

i started watching the Raptors this year.  So I’m not aware of stadium behaviour for basketball games.
