GoldenAlien 2,221 Posted March 5, 2020 Nice rush that results in a shot, team scores off the rebound: Podz was actually high sticked before this play and carried on: 1 2 2
Horvat is a Boss 3,222 Posted March 5, 2020 (edited) He has been great since getting more ice time. Good on Podkolzin for making the most of his opportunity. The Playoff experience will be good for him as well. Edited March 5, 2020 by Horvat is a Boss

One more season playing in the KHL, and we will get a REALLY good player, who can jump straight into the lineup. Our Right wing is going to get a nice boost about a year from now.

Boeser could be traded for a top 4 Dman and we will still have 2 top 6 right wingers in Toffoli and Podkolzin. Virtanen and Lind can play on the 3rd line. komodo0921 627 Posted March 7, 2020 So excited to see this kid in the, not to distant, future. He's got playoff hockey written all over him.
Elias Pettersson 5,305 Posted March 7, 2020 Miller Petey Toffoli Hogs BO Podz Virtanen Gaud Lind I think that is the future right there. Boeser traded for a top 4 Dman and bring back Tryamkin with Rafferty replacing Stecher. Sign Marky to a long term deal and hire Gallant.

Foli may or may not resign with us, Lind hasn't yet played a single NHL game and Pods still has another full season on his KHL contract after this one finishes. But I guess it's never too early to start thinking about dumping our best players.

But I guess it's never too early to start thinking about dumping our best players. We aren't dumping anything. We are trading from a point of strength to get a player where we are weak. And who said anything about trading Boeser BEFORE we re-sign Toffoli? Of course if Toffoli isn't re-signed then you can't trade Boeser but if we do re-sign him then we have lots of upcoming right wingers to fill the gap on the right side. And we can use one of those assets to beef up our defence. Toffoli has 12 points in his last 10 games. Boeser has 13 points in his last 23 games prior to his injury. It's easy to figure out who the better player is. You keep one or the other, preferably Toffoli. If we can sign him long term then Boeser can be dealt for an upgrade on defence. You also have to consider the expansion draft. If you keep both Boeser and Toffoli then you have to expose another forward. MacEwen would need to be exposed. At the rate he's playing he could be one of our better forwards next year. So you don't want to lose him for nothing. With a cheap contract he'd easily be on Seattle's list of players to take. At the end of the day when everyone is healthy one of our forwards has to go. Too many young guys up and coming to keep them all. 1
