Nuxfanabroad 15,982
Never know with these, but I'm glad it wasn't a dirty, predatory play. You can't really blame Lehtera, & he appears to respect his young opponent. Would say it's prob good that the hitter didn't crunch him with any speed involved. 1

Coconuts 13,140
All one can hope for is that it truly is just a minor concussion, but any concussion is concerning Canucks luck

It would be impossible for them to say right now that Podkolzin will be fine after three days off and to schedule his return to the active roster. Every concussion is different, and there’s no set timeline. But the KHL adopted SCAT-5 (sport concussion assessment tool) a couple years ago, so they should handle things appropriately and not let Podkolzin return to the active roster until he’s gone through the stages of recovery and passed the tests. 1 2

gurn 11,824
Why did Chris Farber use the word "carried" and not helped as the other tweet said.? Originally I though they'd brought a stretcher out and his teammates literally carried him off the ice. Sometimes when people try to be first they can miss some important details, like correct wording. Hope Podz is going to be ok. 1

hammertime 2,953
Ya 3 days does not seem like enough. I'm not a doctor but that appeared to be more than mild. Hopefully he makes a full recovery.
Elias Pettersson 6,437
Looks similar to what happened to Petey in his first year. He’ll be fine. It was just an unfortunate play that can happen to anyone. He didn’t really get hit that hard, but it was right in the noggin so that’s why he got a concussion. Also, he was helped off the ice like most players who get hit in the head, he wasn’t “carried” off. Edited February 17 by Elias Pettersson

debluvscanucks 63,778
I like that the guy showed concern right away and gave him a tap. I don't feel it was a malicious hit....more of an unfortunate collision. Not that it makes it hurt any less, just that it didn't appear to be targeted or dirty. Outsiders 2,714
Damn unlucky play. Not dirty but sucks considering he got concussed and was playing so well. At least he wasn't hit with major force the player was gliding.

canuck2288 8,949
Def not a dirty hit and frankly more of an accidental hit Podz spins back quickly to Lehtera and was hunched down. No way Lehtera plans a hit that instantly, classic collision
