Sedinyoureyesontheprize
Hoglander should run shut gun with Petey and Miller. That would push Boeser down to the second line to play with Horvat, and/or Virtanen/Pearson. This next season is all about offence in my opinion and the more speed and tenacity we have in the lineup the better. Lots of good options for the 3rd and 4th lines. Motte- Gaudette - Macewen Roussel-Beagle - Michaelis and defence Juolevi-Schmidt Hughes- Edler Benn- Myers

Maddogy
Our very own Brad Marchand. I guess that 2nd round draft pick was worth it.

I want to see jt Miller micd up at the first practice. He will be like who is this kid . Hope hoglander can be what I think we all hoped dahlen could have been. Hope he plays some with Petey down the road. Got a feeling he will play with bo a fair bit tho.
Outsiders
Really hoping he makes the team. He's competes hard and has high end skill. Canucks need to start to make room for some of these guys. Pearson is a free agent at years end and after last season is probably looking for a raise into the 4.5 range which the Canucks can't afford. It is exciting times as Hoglander/Lind are close and Podkolzin is coming hopefully at years end. The problem is we have way to many forwards which are ultimately gonna hold Hoglander and Lind out no matter how they perform. Sutter and Loui really hurt us. HorvatToBaertschi
Did I miss something? Is Hoglander chosing to not participate in the WJC in order to try and make the roster? If so, that's bold and I like the kid even more nvm just saw that he was ineligible Edited December 14, 2020 by HorvatToBaertschi

I’m guessing just before Christmas? I heard camps are starting January 3rd or 4th, so December 22nd-ish would give them two weeks.

Toffoli, a better player in a similar situation and pay scale, just had to take a pay cut with a completely new and arguably inferior team. I don't think Pearson is in any position to be asking for a raise in the current financial climate if he wants to stay on the team that basically resurrected his career. Don't think you need to worry about him getting a raise (if we even have him back). Loui is likely taxi squad/in Utica. Sutter is gone at years end (or sooner) and may still be needed if Gaudette doesn't learn to take faceoffs. There will also be injuries. This 'lack of space' is a VERY short term 'problem'. 4 2
