If we can remove OEL from our roster by adding Hoglander into the deal then so be it. That would be a great way to clean up part of the Benning mess. Abdominal tear late season. Bounce back for sure. With some offseason healing and BB's welcome to camp surely all will be well! 2

NH will mend and smarten up under BB to mature into 2 or 3 W which we know he's got!!! 1

He’s been in the league three years and is almost certainly a 3C at most. Hogs is proven he’s a middle six winger. After this season Hogs will pass Dach. Dach is going down, while Hogs is going up. Habs are dumbos. Dach has 3rd overall pedigree to his name. That still carries weight only 3 years after being drafted. Hoglander doesn't have that pedigree. If he was 25 or 26, we could be having that conversation, but at 21, he's still got a lot of growing to do. He was rushed, period. Now the new management are going to have to help him unlearn some of the bad habit and flawed structure he played under. He's game though, his hard work ethic will help him come back better than ever. Might need to start in Abby though... He'll be good. Just a little patience. His skill levels are more then adequate, and he is creative and how super effective was that ? trade him as a sweetener to lose cap Ex: TO FLA Miller Pearson Hoglander TO VAN Weegar Lundell 2023 2nd

Popular Post *Buzzsaw*
Hoglander is worth more investment in time. When he arrived at the Canucks he was a creative offensive player... he had that ground out of him by Green within 6 months. The next year he was a shadow of himself... zero confidence... then he was injured and couldn't show what he was capable of under BB. Lets give him another six month at least under Boudreau to show he is better than he showed under Green. 1 2

I still think there will be a Miller trade before training camp in Sept...

Be sad to see Vancouver trade such a offensive talent 21 years old hurt last season... We want speed and offence he has it..Yes he will work more on his defensive coverage..
DownUndaCanuck
With so many good wingers going into next season, I hope Hoglander starts somewhere in our lineup but most likely on the 4th line, battling Lockwood and Joshua for minutes. You never know, he's got grit and skills as well so he may well bump off one of the top-9 guys for minutes if he comes ready to play the way he did in his rookie season. Everyone will be rooting for him.
