The next Patric Horqvist.

You could have told me I was watching a 2nd round pick play in that tournament and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

So great to be adding these high value picks late.

if he has a decent rest of his SHL year I think he may have just earned himself a contract.

Hi Ray, I thought Podz was 6' !", not 6' 4". B)

He has a telescopic neck ....

Russian u-20 roster has him at 192 cms (6'4" rounded) and 92 kilos (203 ibs)

Hockeydb has him at 6'0" and 191

NHL.com has him at 6'1" and 190

Wikipedia says 6'4" and 190

Elite Prospects copy Russia at 6'4" and 203

We'll likely never know until he joins us and has his physical

I would think that it would make the most sense to look at the source that is going to have the most recent measurements.  That should be either the U-20 team roster or his KHL team's roster.  No point in looking at any of those other sources that are either too dated, or wouldn't have obtained direct measurements themselves.

Yeah db and the NHL are notorious for not updating. Those were likely his draft measures and they won't likely get updated until he actually gets to the NHL (or even more common, like a year later).

I did too, till I noticed the updated numbers by his team. On ice, he seemed taller than 6’1”, but hard to tell for sure. At least he plays big. Maybe you could sneak through the bubble when he finally gets here, pull out a tape, and size him up, I am not that brave!

Woah, dude is an prospective hockey player, and a surgeon?

Hope we can offer him more money than doing surgeries can.

P.s. Good luck with the recovery.

Dr. Randy Gregg’s got nothing on Costmar.

Pfft... family physician and sports medicine. That’s nothing.

Dr. Arvid Costmar is an orthopaedic surgeon at only 19 years of age, and is performing operations on himself.

Doogie Howser, eat your heart out. ;)

I kind of skipped the doing his own surgery part.

Wonder if he had to use the scalpel in the wrong hand?

Most likely had to do all the cutting with out anesthesia as well.

Pending teammates are advised to up their game/skills and try to bring a little more of what ever else they do.
