Interesting code-speak.

...So...what's the compensation for Drouin? ;)

You’re throwing out large accusations D, what kind of experience do you have with me to warrant that??

small.png Neal Pionk - 5 years, $4m

small.png Jonathan Drouin - 3 years, $4.225m*

small.png Jacob Middleton - 1 year, $1m

* - As Jonathan Drouin is an RFA from Carolina, @JE14 will have seven days from this announcement (11:17 am PST, July 10, 2018) to either match the offer or accept compensation. Due to the contract's salary, the compensation owed would be a 2nd Round Pick (2020).

Wow. And WOW! I suspect that will be an easy match.

That’s exactly why I traded Pionk earlier this season. He produces a lot, but I genuinely don’t think he will be an NHL regular on a good team. (Instead I gave more money to Petrovic   FML)

But not as easy to move $10.4m in cap overage, a lot easier to move 6m and get a draft pick

Isn't Drouin under contract to 2022 or what am I missing?

Updated to reflect the offer sheet, since he will be under that deal whether JE accepts or not

Wouldn't be surprised if we saw a few more offer sheets... Some intriguing RFAs we got this year... Might have a crack at some myself if I completely strike out on the UFAs

If JE14 traded him, would it be counted as sign and trade?

Wow I'm surprised no one else wanted Spezza and I got him so quickly... Must be the Tarana thing. Very glad to have him!

Tarana is gonna go deep next year and Spezza will turn back the clocks.

Columbus is very happy to welcome these players to the organization.

Palve and Pitlick will compete for the open roster spots at forward. Snively will be in the AHL at least 1 season. And Shortridge gives us a 3rd string goalie - and he'll likely be up if Martin Jones gets hurt, so it gives us a little insurance.
