Jester13
Good contract. Is this possibly the type of deal we sign Boeser to?

theo5789
Dollar figure will be big here in setting up the RFA market.
Provost
4yr $6 million.... lower cap hit to not buy UFA years. I hope we pay a little more and longer term for Boeser. An 8 year x $7 million deal would be pretty good Edited July 1, 2019 by Provost 1

So to qualify him, it will be a 10 million dollar one year deal. Will be interesting how that will get played out. Might be a new loophole to get their player paid well but keep the cap low for the next few years.
Odjick29willkillyou
If BB6 is waiting on these RFA deals to be signed as a gauge for his value, he might be screwing himself because these are lower than expected (Johnsson, Kapanen, Meier). This deal is going to look damn good in a couple years when Meier is one of the best power FWDs in the league. Hell, he already is top 5 in that department! It could make him a UFA a year earlier if he isn’t worth the qualifying offer. I didn’t raise qualifying offers were based on just the last year’s salary.

Yeah I never thought about it either, but just read a tweet about it. Getting to UFA sooner makes sense or get paid the big bucks assuming they progress into that player over the 4 years. Coconuts
That last year of the contract impacting his qualifying offer is sneaky, they'll need to extent him before it gets to that point Solid contract though, good comparable for Boeser
VancouverIteinSanDiego
I like this for Brock or even 3x6m then LE contract will be up and Loui recap hit and then we'll have money for everyone
Maniwaki Canuck
Hard to argue that Boesser deserves more than Mier, so this is a good precedent. Glad that the dominoes are starting to fall.
