theo5789
I imagine Lehner is a result from the incredible system Tortz put in and has cashed in, seems strange he would want to get out of NYI at this point.
Coconuts
Gotta feel good for him, it'll be interesting to see if he can maintain the level of play he had last year away from NYI's stingy defensive systems though

Lehner had great numbers well on bad teams previously. Trots system certainly didn't hurt but he has produced good results consistently. Hopefully he translates well tho! Ghostsof1915
1 year show me contract? Seems a lot of that about.
skolozsy2
I'm impressed...a true, legitimate plan B if Crow gets hurt again. Not another broken down Marty Turco or Cam Ward, or a wet behind the ears Colin Delia. A real NHL goalie. A year after an embarrassment off season chock full of names like Kunitz, Davidson, Manning, and Ward; Bowman has done a pretty bang up job of retooling the roster.
Rush17
Elliott Friedman thinks this may be the most under the radar value signing of this years free agency. Tim and Sid asked him that Q.

On a structured team like NYI, they were able to shut things down. I imagine without this, he will still put up decent numbers, but his inconsistency may show through again. Hopefully (or not since it's the Blackhawks), he has found a new groove and can play a consistent game much like what we are hoping from Markstrom.
