It was a very choppy game filled with ECHL plugs in the line up from both teams so it was hard to get a read on any individual players but I thought Juolevi's skating looked good which is the most important thing coming off a knee injury. I need to see him in a more competitive game against better players to really say where he is at but last night was encouraging. 3 1

You're more likely to get fan-based outlooks than official perspectives, that's for sure.

At least in the Canucks subreddit. Edited September 28, 2019 by Mathew Barzal
UticaHockey
The link below was posted on HF by the author of the blog. He embeds GIFs into his game summary which is nice for those who don't get a chance to watch Comets games. He puts a lot of effort into this. https://canucksfarmies.wordpress.com/2019/09/28/2019-20-preseason-utica-comets-vs-binghamton-devils/
John_Guest
So if everybody makes it through waivers the Comets start to look kind of stacked, right? And if Gaudette comes later there's little doubt.

ThaManbeast
If everybody clears there will be the exact same amount of opportunity for the young players. All of the guys waived today have veteran status so they will only be taking time away from other vets on the AHL squad.
John_Guest
That's what I was thinking. Just with the forwards: Boucher Gaudette MacEwan Baertschi Graovac Lind Goldobin Hamilton Jasek Whoever Whoever Gadjovich What would be the problem there? If all three clear the Comets will have 9 vets and only 6 can dress each game so there will be three healthy vet scratches assuming no injuries and call ups. None of the young prospects will sit if Biega, Baertschi and Goldobin end up in Utica. Hopefully plugs like Bancks and Hamilton will be sitting.
rizzuto&hatoum
Loving the scoring potential for the Comets this year. Thinking of buying the AHL-TV package. Having said that, per the AHL Insider today, Palm Springs will be the 32nd team in the AHL, starting in 21-22 as Seattle's farm team. Writing on the wall? I suppose it's possible the Canucks could loan a vet out. I'm curious about Utica's D with Biega going back to Utica. The right side is, unusually, pretty packed with Biega, Rafferty, Chatfield and Eliot. I assume someone is going to spend time in Kalamazoo just so they're not sitting too much. And Woo on the way up. From not enough to too many. That's the kind of difficult decision you want your bosses making. Now we need to stack the Center ice position the same way. How long till Madden? Camper is the closest thing that the Comets have for a playmaker center. He will play. The Comets always are short down the middle and this year is no exception. I hope that doesn't mean Hamilton plays over another vet. A total of 9 including the vet exempts and only 6 can dress each game.
